Maybe it's from one of the endless series of shuttles that Voyager left crashed in the Delta Quadrant.
Or he's a Excalibian. My very longshot of a guess is that the large rock-looking guy (on the far right of the promo image) is somehow related to the Horta.
They said in the same panel that something in the show ties back to TOS.An interview with the showrunners which dropped today made it clear the show takes place in the Delta Quadrant. So other than the Talaxian, they're all probably races we've never seen.
where's the panel? They said in the same panel that something in the show ties back to TOS.
I recall a character list which included a Denobulan, a Ferengi, a Tellarite, possibly a human, and some others. Since the six younger main characters that were shown are obviously not those people, but possibly Delta Quadrant natives, then those preliminary descriptions might have been of the Prodigy's original crew.
I think those were all guesses about the same character.I recall a character list which included a Denobulan, a Ferengi, a Tellarite,
I think those were all guesses about the same character.
Who provided the list? No, they were all given names, and the Ferengi and the possible human were female, while the Denobulan and the Tellarite were male.
Who provided the list?
All adults. Doesn't sound like any of the main characters, if they are characters at all.Granted it's one of those 'dubious sources,' but here's the link:

Apparently one of the characters has a connection with the original series. So let the guessing begin!
And it's a hair up version of Janeway from the first 3 seasons..

However, I´m super curious how will the show deal with the characters who presumbly know nothing about Alpha quadrant....
I´m still dying to know the show better...Admiral Janeway in Nemesis had her hair up, but she was also in the post-FC uniform.
Did they confirm it was a Talaxian?
No doubt that's what holo-Janeway is for, to fill them in on what Starfleet is all about and give them an ideal to aspire to. Which is a good idea for a show meant to introduce the Trek universe to new, young viewers.
