hat consisted entirely of Raffi awkwardly and out of nowhere telling Picard she loves him (which makes no sense because she's despised him for years), to which Picard proceeds to awkwardly look back at her and not acknowledge her response. No wonder she did a 180 and became bosom buddies with Seven instead.

The show is awkward. It just is. Lol

I'm just curious to see what idea they come up with as far as why these people would still need to stay together after the first season. Because I can't think of any.

To go out in the galaxy solving groovy mysteries of course.

All the pieces are in place. All they need to do is make it happen!

Nothing in season 1 ever gave me the impression that Raffi despised Picard. She was angry and hurt (justified or not) and frustrated and annoyed at him. The whole I-love-you episode consisted of weirdly shot and directed scenes (so yes, AWKWARD!), but I never had any doubt that she (platonically) loves him. Picard looked too overwhelmed to reciprocate.

And I guess Raffi finds Seven likeable - platonically or otherwise - in her own right.

Oh, about the awkward I-love-you scene... The weirdest thing is that she claims Picard helped her get off substances, when in reality she did use drugs and drink before and after that scene....

Has anyone any thoughts on whether the Borg cube on the android planet will play a part in season 2? Could Narissa come back as a Borg?

That’s not how the scene was played, though. When I tell a friend that I love them platonically, it isn’t awkward and goofy like Raffi’s admission. I very much got the impression that she was trying to tell him that she loved him much more than just platonically, and Picard’s reaction was the same as the audience’s: huh?

Earlier in the episode Picard said he'd get pissed if they treated him like a dying man. Raff felt the need to say it, Picard is always kind of uncomfortable with displays of affection but responded honestly. Really was just a sweet scene that was very straightforward.

Huh, indeed. We have been shown Picard is uncomfortable with showing/ stating his feelings, which is what we see here, too. But after a pause, he does say it, even though still uncomfortable. And later, when he "meets" Data, he is finally able to say it (or begin to say it) to Data.

@Soong-type Android, we dont have to put spoiler tags here. It's just speculation anyway. As to your questions, I have no idea. Would love to see more with the Borg cube and the xB's, but kinda doubt it as Seven is on the Sirena now and Hugh is dead, so... I really hope we have seen the last of Narissa though.

Hopefully the Romulans and Starfleet will be rolling out the red carpet for Picard he really deserves it. They should be making a giant statue of him and giving him a mansion at this point

As this is the year 2399, I would like to see a New Year's celebration of some kind. Maybe even a Starfleet one, where our heroes attend (but of course they refuse to take back their posts offered to them). (Or maybe a party on DS9... I know, I know, forget it!) And then something goes terribly wrong.

Then Q brings Picard back from the dead and there are two Picards. Brian Brophy plays the other Picard, that's why he didn't return as Maddox. Then Q brings Data back from the dead and Data builds a synth Data so there are two Datas. Two Picards and two Datas.

I would like to see 7 at least kiss Raffi if they dont get together. I mean it's already been lots of her sex and kissing. But Raffi and 7 just hold hands and stare? I mean there was no build with the other charcters they just walked right up kissed each other then had sex. Raffi and 7 just stare and interlock fingers. Smfh. I would like 7 to have a believable loving relationship with a woman but he'll no not Janeway tho
