Spoilers Star Trek Picard Season 2 Hopes and Predictions

Same time next year, but that was before covid screwed everything up

Season 1 was filming in April 2019. I suspect covid will push the airdate back 6-12 months.

Surely if telepathic coercion is acknowledged at all, then it would be a defence, particularly as she has expressed remorse and contrition for the fact despite the coercion, and was instrumental in saving the day against the Zhat Vash and the synth gods.
I'm pretty sure psychic coercion by Vulcan mind meld would hold up in a court of law. Scotty murdered a bunch of ladies under the influence of an energy being and got off scot-free.

Jurati just needs that certificate from the Tantalus Penal Colony saying Not Guilty by reason of insanity, and she's good to go.

There is only one thing I'd really like to see in Picard S2. Wil Wheaton comes back as Wesley Crusher, and at some point he gets to say, "Shut up, Picard!"

It's time.

Not to get all off-topic, but I was never clear which if any of those murders Scotty physically committed. I was under the impression that some or all of them were actually Hengist.

Hmm...
Picard is an archelogist and a diplomat
I want to visit lots of previous visited worlds (Bajor, Kronos, Betazed, Mintaka).

Wild goose chase for 5-10 objects, visiting various parts of the federation and beyond, staying within the known universe, running into Friendly starfleet ships and seeing Picard alive in his talents, solving problems where he can, calling starfleet where he can't. This would be to allow for an episodic feel within the confines of modern TV (though may feel alot like Discovery's S2 first half).

At the end, we find out it was all set up by Q so Picard could stop his wallowing about failure with the Romulans and see a lifetime of success. Q would stay something about Picard only having 35 years left.

And the staff from his Chateau is with him the entire time.

If they go down the archeological route as I hope they do then Bajor and DS9 would be a good fit for an episode given the rich and mysterious history for the ancient Bajorans

Hopefully no more crew members that randomly hook up with ZERO build up. And I don't just mean that weird Raffi/Seven sledgehammer thing, but "Agnes" (terrible name) and Rios. wtf?

If Jurati is being charged with murder, then Seven better be charged too. Both the woman on Freecloud (can’t remember her name) and Rizzo were just as much Federation citizens as Maddox. Just cause they were “bad guys” doesn’t make their murders any more justified

Bring back Nicholas Meyer and take power away from Akiva Goldsman and Kurtzman. Both those men should have nothing to do with the franchise. They've turned it into a joke. I had to immediately stop watching Discovery when they introduced a fucking spore drive. just dumb dumb and more dumb.

Narissa was a Romulan spy, so I doubt she was a Federation citizen. Bjayzl... Do we know her citizenship or even species?

Yeah, but is Seven a federation citizen? And they weren't in federation space. I'm not sure if Bjayzl was a federation citizen either or Rizzo.

They aren't going anywhere, especially kurtzman who has signed a multi-million dollar contract to produce plenty of trek. You're just going to have to deal with it or stop watching.

If Seven were arrested for murder of Rizzo (unproven she’s dead), which happened on a Borg cube on a non federation planet, Riker needs locking up for killing the viceroy on the enterprise.

Under whose authority should Seven be arrested? Freecloud is outside of Federation space. The whole reason the Fenris Rangers exist is because there is no law or official authority to protect the people.
