You have Raffi and Seven, only one of which was ever hinted at being a switch hitter, suddenly being all lovey.

Raffi who previously was never even hinted at being even so much as bisexual, given she had a husband at one point.

The Raffi/Seven thing is more forced and contrived than Discovery, who just matter of fact stated that Stamets and Hulber were gay and in a relationship..just as a statement of "this is an aspect of who they are".

Please note that none of this is meant to imply any intolerance..just lazy writing.

My point was their primary focus with Raffi and Seven was to give us great characters and develop them as such. The relationship stuff was secondary. Terribly forced and out of the blue, but at least it wasn't like what they did on Discovery...

Culber's entire purpose for being on the show was to be half of a gay relationship, because in two seasons, the only thing we know about him is that he likes opera.

This season the story wasn't about Federation starships or any hero ships really. It was about Picard........like the title hints at.

Absolutely. That doesn't mean you can't design nice starships. Those things in the finale were horrible.

I 100% do. His designs are getting worse, and worse. His aesthetic is dull and tired at this point and nothing he does compared with 30+ years of classic Starfleet ship design.

Badass Seven only when needed....otherwise let her smile a little. She's had a rough time and Jeri has nice teeth.

Understandable persona in season 1, but hopefully she will mellow in season 2.

I'm generally not a fan of 24th Century ships. So whatever "horribleness" there was didn't register with me.

To me there's no such thing as an "Awesome 24th Century Starship!!!" They all look like sea life. This just looked like more of the same but amped up a little. Riker was in command of some pretty powerful shrimp.
