Star Trek Picard is not Star Trek

From 2001 until about 2003 I was a fan of the show but not of her. At all. I gradually warmed to her but it was a very slow process and I was, well, at times little more than a one-trick pony in the forums.
I remember that trick. I might have have the guy telling you how wrong you were.

I really didn't like her makeup and catsuit from Seasons 1 and 2.
I you mentioned the eyebrows I probably countered with a picture of Saavik from TWOK. Along with a point by point rebuttal that carved up your post as I addressed each one. :ack:
That's how I rolled back then.

Yeah, and this was before I read or heard the explanation that Blalock left her eyebrows that way because of her contracts to do modeling and photography during her first two years on ENT which necessitated her not altering them in any significant manner. They still look pretty bad but at least I learned the real world reason why she never wanted them shaved off nor covered up with too much makeup.

Forum Angst from TrekBBS around the year 3 Million BC. Thank God for some threads that weren't pruned.

The ENT Forum in 2003:

Good stuff. Nothing from the VOY Forum in 1999-2001 (the first two years of TrekBBS), but it was even worse.

And you know what you don't see in those links? Me in there. Because I don't watch or hang around talking about shows I don't like.
I was here then.........it's like they just substitute Kurtzman's name now. Funny so many people talk about Berman and Braga now like they were the second coming of Gene. Also I thought Regeneration was one of the stronger ENT episodes.

Lord, I sure hope it never comes down to that here...I can’t speak for KennyB, but that’s a little too touchy/feely for my style. :p
Oh FFS.........they must have started that after I walked away from the board. Agreed, no holding hands and singing Kumbaya!!! @The Old Mixer I understand they were trying something new at the time.......but nah. Just follow the rules and everyone is happy.

I remember when Braga was routinely vilified for admitting to not having been a TOS fan back in the day, exactly the same way Abrams was vilified for (gasp!) admitting that he preferred STAR WARS as a kid. And now, of course, we keep hearing about how the new CBS folks clearly don't know know their STAR TREK . . . :)

Heard this song before.

(Never mind that Harve Bennett and Nicholas Meyer were largely unfamiliar with Trek when they made THE WRATH OF KHAN.)

Damn you and your logical, level headed thinking!

I was there, Gandalf, I was there 3000 years ago...
