Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

On the topic of unexplained things, I wonder if anyone remembers that scene in Season 1 where Seven temporarily becomes a Borg Queen to retake control of the Artifact, and afterwards ominously says "Annika still has work to do" or something to that effect before Seven is returned to normal.

Strangely enough despite Seasons 2 and 3 reusing the Borg yet again and again, I don't think either of those actually followed up on the implications of that scene, nor does it seem likely to be connected to Season 3's finale as the Borg Queen's disheveled and basically insane state does not match up with the calm and controlled manner that "Queen" Seven speaks in during Season 1.

Right, but you gotta make sure the things left unexplained don't leave the audience stretching their faith.
I believe they're called "plot holes" :p.

You are correct but there's so many of these "real fans" doing videos
No more or less a fan than any of us :p.

I'd love to see Seven as the queen, I mean as proper Borg queen but without physical changes
The biggest piss off for me was the Borg Cube doing jack shit in the climatic battle. Imagine the Borg Cube on Starfleet's side, coming in to save Picard. Or it rising from the planet and fighting the hentaitenacles crossing the red portal of robohell. Getting pulled in or forcing it back in some last stand .

The Borg cube was wasted and it will always piss me off.

It's funny how PIC 2.10 arguably fits with LD 1.03 showing a Borg child receiving a Federation education in the future, presumably by happy accident of writing. But simultaneously, PIC 3.02 introduces a Titan lineage initiated by a Shangri-La-class Titan unlike the Loknar-class Titan featured in the background of LD 2.02.

From a certain point of view.*

*Alexander Rozhenko's not valid for the purposes of this thread

Alexander and Soji both got ignored in PIC S3 as children of TNG characters.

Though it occurs to me that every main TNG character except Wesley has now canonically had a child:

Jean-Luc and Beverly: Jack
Beverly: Wesley
Tasha: Sela
Will and Deanna: Thad and Kestra
Data: Lal, Dahj, Soji, Jana, and Sutra
Geordi: Alandra and Sidney
Worf: Alexander

Ironically Data had the most kids!

And Dr. Pulaski probably had at least one I'm forgetting at the moment.

I don't think anything canonically precludes that possibility, but I can't find any reference to her having children on Memory Alpha and I don't remember any such references myself.

Also, she was only ever a "special guest appearance" rather than a main titles regular, for whatever reason. :shrugs:

If we broaden the parameters to include important recurring characters, then we do know canonically that Guinan, Q, and Miles O'Brien all had children as well.

Sela..kind of. That Tasha is from an alternate timeline that wasn't necessarily the same Tasha as the one from TNG S1.

Soji wasn't forgotten during the writing process however, they just couldn't afford to bring her in. Terry said he had a scene in mind between her and Data.
