So, season 2 was rightly criticized for spinning its wheels a bit in the middle but is anyone else getting the same feeling from season 3?

No. They've been moving things a long at a good pace. I don't feel like any episode's been wasted. They're further along at the end of each episode than the beginning. They were reintroducing and getting us caught up with a lot. You can't do that overnight.

PIC Season 3 is thick, dense, well-connected, and focused. PIC Season 2 was thin, porous, not very well connected, and all over the place. The two couldn't be more different.

Yes. Because most of the episodes have been in smaller settings.

Re the Worf/Enterprise-E thing, remember at this point it's not actually been revealed in the story that Worf holds the rank of captain, but we know that's the case from the promo shots where he's got a Starfleet jacket with pips on. So possibly when that reveal happens, it'll be mentioned that it was the Enterprise he captained, and we might find out her fate?
