Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

I know about Lore but I got a feeling that with this being the last time we might see the TNG gang I have a hard time thinking that they won't give us a little Data also. It's hard to say goodbye to the TNG crew and not even have Data show up somehow even if it's just a cameo.

The Data scene at the end of S1 was so good that I didn't care how bad the rest of that episode was
I love the final scenes between Data and Picard. I just have to squint so that I'm not distracted by all the weird choices they made with Spiner's look. (CG that "youngifies" him in the wrong ways, and his cheap uniform that looks like a bought costume rather than the one he wore in Nemesis.)

But the writing and acting I like a lot. (End on a positive. ;))

If he does I doubt it will actually be him.

That is fine for me because it's not real - one is a dream, the other is a simulation reconstructed from leftovers :D

On-Topic: Picard Season 3 is the upcoming Star Trek I'm the most looking forward to.

Off-Topic: I've mentioned a few times on the board before that I'm a Videographer & Editor and that I also make independent films on the side. This is a Teaser for my next project, which I've also written and will be directing, The Spirit's Dark Shadow. It's going to be a period piece that takes place in a Haunted Mansion in the 1920s with a Speakeasy underneath and a dark, deep secret.

Back On-Topic: I think Picard might also have a dark, deep secret this season. Bringing it all back around. ;)

From what the actors have said, this time Crusher is the one with the secret. And the villain is after Jean-Luc for personal reasons. And Sir Patrick has said that things get "REALLY emotional" for Jean-Luc. And there's supposedly a scene between Jean-Luc and Crusher in episode 5 that's "heartbreaking" and was "extremely difficult to write", according to Matalas (and RMB).

I mean come on, if there's one thing PIC has beaten us over the head with for two full seasons it's that there's always someone something somewhere that tortures Jean-Luc emotionally and adds to the existing trauma that stuff on TNG caused him (but was usually never explored unless we're talking about the Borg).

So true, maybe he's got some Borg kiddies

It's weird to think that PIC will be the first Star Trek series I'll have watched from start-to-finish during first run. Not including Short Treks.

I caught TNG midway through, didn't watch much DS9 until TNG ended, stopped watching VOY towards the end, skipped out on ENT, and DSC is still ongoing.
