Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

But did she die "for good?" Jurati says the Collective is crippled in the 25th century, but does that mean they're fragmented and leaderless? Was Jurati's Collective truly in seclusion for 400 years?

This Collective? Perhaps. But the Collective we saw prior to season 2? I don’t think the idea is that Borgati went to the Delta Quadrant and took control. That would negate far too much history. Borgati basically had to start from scratch. My thought is that Borg Collective continued to assimilate biological and technological things, assimilated Annika Hansen, assimilated Picard, destroyed 39 ships at Wolf 359, killed Jennifer Sisko, traveled back to First Contact with the Vulcans, and were essential in Voyager getting home. Meanwhile, the Borgati Collective may have been right behind cleaning up the mess, staying just out of sight of history.

Remember, Queen Jurati came out of a giant hole in reality. That was probably where she was hiding to avoid messing with the timeline.

Lmao

What happened to Borgati and the Queen is something that is an actually interesting mystery and one that doesn't bother me not being explained on screen.

EIther:

1. She's the ruler of all the Collective now
2. She's the ruler of a small faction since she needed Starfleet.

If she is the leader of the whole collective why did she still do wolf 359 and sevens parents

The Borg Queen in 2367 and 2373 wasn't the Jurati Queen. She doesn't come around until sometime prior to 2401.

Presumably because the original Borg Queen was still around until she was killed/deleted by Janeway.

Then Jurati could slide on in.

Makes perfect sense.

I guess she will have her mask on the whole 3rd season since the actress left the show.

The borg off shoot ship protects the space butt hole.

Then season 3 the old crew gets back together and a universe threatening monster will come out.

And six out of ten season 3 episode's will be about:

dealing with past trauma for Beverly(husband died)

worf(parent killed by romulans)

geordi(mom on a courier run to Deep Space 3 in early 2370 disappeared)

Then last few episode's of season 3 the crew blows up the space monster and closes the butt hole in space.

Boom!

Wesley finally confirmed as a full Traveler is probably the best result from this episode. Rios needs to come back for the 25th century shows? "I called in a favor from an old friend, Wesley Crusher". Agnes comes back but Allison Pill doesn't want the Borg makeup? "I called in a favor from an old friend, Wesley Crusher". Etc.

So instead of "a wizard did it" it's now "a Traveler did it?" :vulcan:

Is that the idea? I was wondering how the Collective might be altered but Agnes might not be able to assert control until the Collective was weakened.

I think it's an extrapolation that the Borg aren't changed by Q's events but this is all a predestination loop.

12 Monkeys Rules.

Temporal Investigations is going to have a field day.
