With the TNG gang back for Season 3, I wonder if we'll get a confrontation between Laris and Worf. And Laris isn't just a Romulan civilian, she was Tal Shiar.

Why would it need to be a confrontation? He's not going to confront Tallin just because she used to be Tal Shiar unless he has some reason to confront her. Also, Worf would know from Picard that she has abandoned her Tal Shiar ways and is a close friend of Picard. Picard trusts her. I imagine that would be good enough for Worf.

Indeed, even by DS9's final season, Worf had grown a bit from automatically hating every Romulan because they're Romulan. Granted, he wasn't really on friendly terms with any, but he still wasn't wishing violent and unpleasant death on a Romulan he just happens to pass by either. Then in Nemesis, Worf actually acknowledged the Romulans who showed up assist the Enterprise against Shinzon fought with honor, which coming from Worf is High Praise. While I don't think it's necessarily a guarantee that he and Laris would automatically be friends, I see no reason to believe they'd be antagonistic towards one another, or that there'd be a confrontation between them anyway.

A moot point anyway, since Orla Brady's twitter seems to indicate she's not going to be in the third season, meaning we aren't getting any scenes with Worf and Laris anyway.

Might get Worf and Elnor arguing the merits of the bat'leth vs the tan tan qalanq though.
I think Worf would be fine with Elnor, because Elnor's a fellow hand to hand warrior and honestly had nothing to do with all the shady Romulan government stuff that killed Worf's parents. But Laris was literally with the Tal Shiar and I definitely see Worf having issues with that unless she's totally anti-Tal Shiar now. Oh well.

If Worf can respect the Jem'Hadar for being fine warriors then he shouldn't have any issues with Elnor. He's Romulan, yes, but not TNG or DS9 Era Romulan military. And with the destruction of Romulus in 2387 the species has likely earned more than a handful of new sympathetic supporters as they try to rescue their society from extinction.

Tallin being in a spacesuit makes me wonder if that’s how they get the Renee will live/die thing done.
I've thought about that possibility, but I've also come up with a couple more ideas:

1) Jean-Luc has to do the mission for Renee (Riker/La Forge-style, under the name "Renee Picard") after Renee dies
2) The Freedom elixir Q gives to Kore changes her appearance to look like Renee, and either Kore does the mission after the real Renee dies as the ultimate middle finger to Adam Soong (and becomes Picard's actual ancestor) or Kore sacrifices herself so that Renee can complete the mission (much to the chagrin of Dr. Soong).

Another possibility I thought of: what if the lifeform Renee finds on the Europa mission is baby Q? That would explain why Q has always had a fascination with Picard, if one of his ancestors was the first person he encountered as an infant Q.

I believe “Inner Light” WAS supposed to have a sequel back then with Eline being found in stasis aboard the probe and all, but the idea never came to pass as an actual episode. I doubt they’re gonna do that now in some way - I’m FB friends with Margot Rose (Eline) and I haven’t seen her doing any acting lately, she seems to be more of a musician these days. Unless of course she did something in total secret, one can never rule surprises out these days, considering how they managed to keep the return of the TNG cast a secret for ten months... anything is possible. ;)

There was a very odd comic sequel

Emphasis on "very odd".

I'm planning to do a second full re-watch of TNG after the third season of PIC. There will be definitely be some things in there now where I'll be able to say, "So that's where they planted that seed!" and "I know where they ended up going with that now!" It'll be a different perspective.

Yeah, there could be moments we missed, like that weird concerned Riker moment about Remmick doing an investigation in season one....

I really wish the day would come where we see a Klingon from far in the past show up and tell Worf that the Klingon was using the "weapon" in the Birthright two-parter, right and told him to fuck off.

Well filming for ST4 wrapped in September 2021, so 8 months between wrapping and release. But you have to consider post production and all that.

For comparison, Picard Season 2 also wrapped in September 2021 and aired almost exactly 6 months later.
Picard Season 3 wrapped March 8.

Where do you see filming for ST 4 wrapped in September 2021? Based on this link, actors haven't seen the script as of last month.
