Word. It's been so good.Is it Thursday yet?
I think Q didn't change anything, he's helping them correct thingsIt's said in the episode, Q made a single change in the past, and it butterflied from there.
No, we see him interfering in the trailers.I think Q didn't change anything, he's helping them correct things
Where? What we see him do could just as well be helpfulNo, we see him interfering in the trailers.
Q is the cause of all this.
Indeed. Q is not known to be helpful. No, we see him interfering in the trailers.
Q is the cause of all this.
Indeed. Q is not known to be helpful.
Except if he hadn't shown up nothing would have happened. It was his interference that caused the problem in the first place. Which I'm assuming is the case here too, but I guess we'll see.He was helpful in All Good Things.
To solve a problem he caused. That's like Munchasens by proxy. He was helpful in All Good Things. And other times.
Cool. So it's "for his own good."But the problems were about learning a lesson, Picard came out of both of those mentioned episodes with a different perspective.
Although Guinan's line in the season premiere about aging suggests otherwise, I wouldn't rule out her witnessing old Q's meddling in 2024 firsthand. She then whacks a younger CGI Q who also happens to be around and has no idea why Guinan is attacking him, sparking their feud.Except if he hadn't shown up nothing would have happened. It was his interference that caused the problem in the first place. Which I'm assuming is the case here too, but I guess we'll see.
Cool. So it's "for his own good."![]()
I don't feel that this is as beneficial as people think that it is. Q is still creating problems and then demanding Picard fix them. Lessons learned are nice and all but that doesn't absolve Q of his responsibility.Yes.
I mean in both cases it's ambiguous as to how real the threat even is.
Considering Picard started Tapestry dead and then came out alive having learnt a valuable leason about how it's the individual events in our lives who form who we are I'd say Q did him a pretty big solid.
That is if Picard was ever dieing to begin with... or if Q was ever even there.
