I just want to say that I love that Terry Matalas is a huge Back to the Future fan -- that helps when writing this -- and I love that Lea Thompson is involved, directing two episodes.

He seems to have a golden D as well, not just the C. Perhaps they're all from the E's conference lounge and he distributed them around his chateau XD

According to someone from the art team on Facebook, these are curved displays. Not static images on a curved surface. The LCARS were co-designed by Mike Okuda, and It’s from Season 3.
Doug Drexler also called the bridge set one of his top three favourites in the franchise.

Amazing how Doug has changed his tune since he was hired.
I don’t think it’s because he was hired. I think he genuinely likes what the new showrunner and creative is taking Season 2. I don’t think he’d say anything at all if he didn’t like it.
I'm actively concerned that since Doug is offering $20 to people on Facebook who don't like S02E01, that they've killed all I like about the show in favour of LCARS PANELS and NOVA CLASS SCIENCE VESSEL that the tech heads can spooge into their technical manuals over while moaning "True Trek! True Trek!"
He was very vocal before he joined the team about his dislike of just about everything.
I meant that I think if that he didn’t like Season 2 while working on it, he wouldn’t be super negative about it, but he also wouldn’t be super positive and betting people $20 that they would like episode 1 and saying it nearly brought him to tears.
He disliked season 1, but now Season 2 is doing things that he likes. He has seen at least episode 1.
Disliking one season but liking another isn’t unheard of.
Eh it still has some of the stuff that those people hated about season 1 in the trailer.
TrekYards is still complaining about the lack of direct light on ships making everything look super dark (also no Nav lights). There’s a scene of 7 looking very angry brandishing a pistol. There’s harsh language thrown around.
The trailers still feel like Picard to me

I love Trek 2009 but I'm not going to judge anyone on the creative team based on how they reacted to it almost 13 years ago. I have friends who either barely like Trek in-general or don't at all. At least Doug doesn't have issues with the wider franchise so he's not going to do whatever he can to undermine its legacy.
I wonder how much those curved screens cost, They couldn’t have been cheap. Makes me think the bridge might be in most of season 3 (and maybe a couple episodes of season 2?)

And it's entire spin-off series, with minor modifications (like losing the corridor, which is a shame IMO)
In fairness, he said in those same Facebook posts that he still doesn't like S1.
Anyway, he's got bigger problems right now -- he just disclosed on his public Facebook account that he's been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Fingers crossed for him.
