Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

https://intl.startrek.com/gallery/your-first-look-at-star-trek-picard

The guy at picture 1/19 is a freed Borg but he's not Hugh. Another confirmation they'll be a major feature in the series.

2 and 3/19: Dahj in prison uniform. Presumably she's a new android/synth, perhaps created from a positronic brain created by Dr Soong and Borg technology/nanoprobes (my theory).

5/19, the Romulan couple working in Picard's vineyard, which were revealed in the comics to be
ex Tal-Shiar agents

9/19 Looks like Picard's journey begins in a colony/settlement of Romulan refugees.

10/19, May I present you Elnor, second cousin twice removed of Lord Elrond :hugegrin:

13/19 These look like the Romulan baddies who are imprisoning Dahj and other androids and likely subjecting them to some sick experiment :confused:

Dead link ... :(

Quick! Grab the smelling salts!

Nerys Myk has the vapors! :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

It's a thing now.

Everyone has them (Bravo has "Watch What Happens Live". AMC has "The Talking Dead" after ... erm ... "The Walking Dead".)
DSC season 1 and 2 also had after shows. Season 1 had After Trek, season 2 was uh I don’t remember.

Season 2 had that Facingbook thing with that girl from IGN interviewing a different cast member each week.

Picard EP: If Worf comes to Picard, he won't look like a Disco Klingon:

He also comments on the differing look of the Romulans.
So, we are going to see some with forehead bumps and some without apparently.

He said it will be a regional thing, which also explains the Klingon's from DISCOVERY.

"...So will Worf’s look on Picard more closely resemble Discovery‘s Klingons, then? “No, he’s got to look the same,” Kurtzman says. “We’re not changing that. It’s funny, because you’ll see by the time you get to [Picard‘s] third episode, there are different kinds of Romulans that look different, depending on their territories. You’ll see some Romulans that are just about the ears, you’ll see some with the ears and deeper ridges in their foreheads… so I have to believe that there are different iterations of Klingons, depending on where they are from.” (To be fair, Discovery did soften the look of its Klingons in Season 2 as well.) ..."

I think I saw...A DOOR HANDLE!!!! Isn't this the FUTURE???????
While I a do take it the spirit it was intended there are going to be some fans somewhere who freakout about it. Of course then we can point out all the times we saw door handles in the 24th century already. Heck even at Starfleet Academy, let alone private business and residences.

It is also apparently, her private residence out in the middle of nowhere.
Probably no need for electric sliding doors there.

Do we know it’s hers?

These bloody after shows. So pointless.
The one with Frakes was hilarious! When the alert happened at the end, he screamed RED ALERT!! SHIELDS UP!! I'M LIVING IN THE PAST!! XD
And he said that in the mirror universe, Riker wouldn't pull his shirt down, but up instead. XD

They even addressed that in the episode where Wes accompanies Picard to his heart surgery: There's a door with a handle at that base, Wes is confused that it doesn't open, Picard opens it for him.
