Releasing Countdown #3 after Picard S01E01 makes much more sense now...

Was it originally due before Episode 1? Or is it coming after by design - it contains a spoiler for the episode??

I originally thought maybe a spoiler had slipped, however I talked to someone in production last week who said NO it was a production issue he was signing off on it and it was supposed to start the printing process this weekend.

" Originally, issue #3 of the Picard prequel series was due to be released on January 15th, the week before the show’s premiere. But IDW, the comic’s publishers, confirmed to me yesterday that the release has been delayed for production reasons."

Interesting, he was the creator of 12 Monkeys and I believe Brannon Braga’s assistant on Enterprise. He’s also credited on Enterprise with the stories for Stratagem and Impulse.

Some tweets I’m seeing are saying Terry Matalas will be the new showrunner of season 2 (as Chabon leaves to showrun the series based on one of his books). This isn’t verified yet though.
