Once in San Francisco I saw an Academy history class learn about the Gazelle Speech. It was truly baffling.
I wouldn’t say the TOS visuals are no longer canon.
They were Tal Shiar agentsI sure hope that the Romulans working for Picard aren't agents with a secret agenda, because that would ruin how they seem to personify Picard's ideals as expressed in his seeing the Romulans as people rather than Romulans / an enemy.
I'm pretty sure Picard knows that. They were Tal Shiar agents
Yeah, in the comic, they outright told him to try and gain his trust. With the logic that a Tal Shiar agent would never reveal their identity.I'm pretty sure Picard knows that.
I'm still not convinced in any way that FC and ENT changed things. "TATV..." may be a flaming sewage spill but it does confirm that Archer and the NX-01 existed in the timeline more than three years before Picard and his crew traveled back to 2063 to stop the Borg from changing history. I can buy that the Borg changed history and that the 1701-E crew fixed the timeline but that would mean that the "original" timeline always had Riker and Geordi in the cockpit of the Phoenix and Klaang always crash-landed in Oklahoma.
It's a fun and convenient way to explain differences but after "TATV..." it definitely doesn't hold up.
Yes, were a bunch of questions asked and then answered. Fortunately, the poster who had seen the first three episodes put all his responses in hidden spoiler tags. Safe to go into the thread as long as you don't start 'popping tags'.Question about the thread Picard 1x1, "Remembrance" ????
I haven't wanted to open it until I saw the episode my self, not wanting spoilers.
Now that I've seen ep 1 I want to read the discussion.
However the thread opens with this warning:
"WARNING: This thread may contain early spoilers from posters who've attended premieres. If you haven't seen the episode yet and don't wanna be spoiled, GET OUTTA HERE!"
To anyone who has been reading it...
Are people disusing (spoiling) the next two episodes (which were also shown at the premier) in there?
Thanks!
RED ALERT!
Star Trek: Picard is now available to view on Amazon Prime.
I'm going go watch it tonight with my lady who is no Trekkie at all, but I was able to convince her watching some of TNGs episodes and now she is interested in watching PICARD, because she found the trailers very appealing and cinematic.![]()
Thank you.Time to turn her into one of us. Good luck!

Thanks, although I just started perusing it, think I need to stay out of it, and would put this as a warning to anyone in my situation. At a certain point, I stopped asking questions and posting spoilers anyway, so if you stick to the last 20 or so pages, you should be fine.

Although it's title is labeled for episode 1 spoilers and discussion. The thread inside has been conflated with episodes 1. 2. & 3. discussions and spoilers.
Which are freely being discussed, or being brought in from threads they saw elsewhere.
And although those who did see all three eps, seem to want to cautiously put spoiler tags, others seem to goad them into posting more and seem incapable separating.
Which is fine it's a spoiler thread,
Just wish it was clearly labeled as spoilers and discussion of all 3 episodes.
And there was a separate one for those just wanting to discuss what they saw in ep 1.
Although I'm new here, and still trying to find my way around.
