It brought Data back from the dead.

Forgive me for not keeping a running tally.

Arguably an over-simplification. Neither of the Datas we see in PIC are the one that died in Nemesis.

Just as the Picard seen in PIC2 and 3 is not the man who died in PIC1.

Because we're humans and we tend to ascribe feelings to things that look like something we like.

Data still very much died in Nemesis.

A part of Data still "lived".

And then a copy of that part was uploaded into some new hardware, along with copies of a few other people.

S3 "Data" is not Data at all. He's... a mishmash of Data, Lore, Alton Soong and B4. It's a being that looks like Brent Spiner and has Data's memories. So we see "Data".

I really liked Data in TNG but I don't like it how they present him in Picard S3.
