Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

It's nowhere near one of my favorite Trek movies for sure but it's not even in the Bottom 2 of my least favorite Trek films. The Troika scenes and Laurence Luckinbill elevate it above where it should otherwise go.

Q better hole up someplace while BQJ is on the rampage with Soong, who might want revenge. Imagine if a nearly powerless Q is assimilated by the Borg? Oh my.... there's still all that immeasurable knowledge.

I like how Elnor brings out Raffi's maternal side. :luvlove: :adore:

I don't see how.

Elnor is dead. He's immaterial. There's nothing TO assimilate.
'E's passed on! This Romulan is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed 'im to 'is post 'e'd be pushing up the daisies! 'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig! 'E's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-ROMULAN!!

We have two episodes left.

Nice Monty Python reference. :)

Understandable. Star Trek V is pretty much a repressed memory for many Trekkies.

While I just accept it as part of a plot, a story line, and not requiring modern shows to be tied to shows made decades into the past, it did irk me when Q and Guinan did mention that line(s) about the "uniquity" of humanity, "living in the past". Sybok's actions in that movie would make that comment...troubled. Look at Lwaxana....even worse than Humans. Worf's behavior and attitude unlike another Klingons due to trauma....and all that pain Sybok managed to release...from non-Humans...

Seems to me like the unique part was specifically rooting around in the past to fuel one's evolution (lol gasoline). Weren't some humans immune to Sybok? Once outgrown, the past has no hold on us.

Now that is an interesting theory, perhaps if Q does get assimilated this is what creates the Borg as we know it, the end of Q and a Borg origin story all in one with some temporal shenanigans. Hell maybe Q is the new Queen we see in episode 1.

Q being the "Borg Queen" occurred to me. He did say he might have first come to Picard as a female back in TNG's 'Qpid'.

But I'm sure it's Jurati.

Still, the "Picard, look up" has me wondering, and the snippet of the Piaf song we hear before the explosion that Q later makes play on the phonograph.

I'm kinda surprised that a teenage or young adult Phillip Green hasn't been mentioned or appeared. The mercenaries Adam Soong work with seem like predecessors to Col. Green and his men.

Colonel Green looks like he's in this forties or so in the archive recording we see in "Terra Prime(ENT)," which occurred sometime around First Contact so Green would be an infant or maybe a teenager in 2024. Of course he could always be older as the TOS recreation could have easily passed for a man around 50 or so.

Still time. Two more episodes and the mercs just showed up this week,

True about there still being time, but there isn't much. Also, while the mercs just made their first appearance, they were mentioned several episodes ago.

He wouldn't be an infant. The speech occurred around 2056 so about 32 years in the future and you're right he looks to be in his forties. Therefore, he's likely to be a teenager now. One potential way he could be brought in is if the general Adam Soong called is his father.
