I had completely missed the original post. Since I was curious what you were on about I went back and looked. I can't say that it was worth my time to go back and find it. But these things do happen.

Was the original post finding a curiously compelling popularity that was necessary to quash?

She served for years on the Voyager as a de facto department head/senior officer and for years as member and leader of the Rangers. I think that experience transfers to Starfleet.
Kira went from guerrilla leader to XO of DS9. Actually I’m not even sure she was even a leader.

T'Pol wasn't even a member of Starfleet until she got a field commission and honorary rank around the time of the Xindi Crisis but was First Officer and second-in-command of the NX-01 for several or more years without not only not being a Commander but not even a member of the United Earth Starfleet.

She wasn't, at least according to Dukat's dossiers on Resistance members. "A minor operative whose activities are limited to running errands for the terrorist leaders."

It's a fictional uniformed service. They can promote anyone they want with their own in-universe rules. Kelvin Timeline Kirk got promoted from Cadet to Captain at the age of 25 after an interstellar emergency that resulted in the loss of a founding member world of the Federation and billions of deaths. Seven became a Commander after about four years on Voyager as one of its most valuable crewmembers. Fictional rules allow for a BUNCH of weird shit that doesn't make sense in the real world.

Ask the Genesis Effect or so many planets using English lettering and having aliens that look almost indistinguishable from Earth humans on their own worlds. :p

    Kira was a political appointee.

Everyone with a first class education was a collaborator, and had been shot, when power changed hands.

Kira's criteria for getting her job was strangling Cardassians. They assumed that skill is transferable to humans, if this Sisko fellow turns out to be a turd.

As Gul Dukat's step daughter however, it was probably the last string he pulled getting her that gig.

Obviously, Kira was an expert at staying under the radar during the occupation, yet was still an important part of a Bajoran underground cell that managed to inflict substantial damage to the Cardassian military invasion force.
Dukat's dossiers were apparently lacking when it came to what the Bajorans were really up to.

He was inserted in to the chain of command as executive officer, and eligible to move up that chain.

Dukat was trying to keep his daughter alive by understating her importance to the resistance.

Star Trek just doesn't always make sense. Sadly the real world often makes even less.

Yes, the fact they said twitter, not this thread, and posted a link to said twitter account.

That guy has a long history on this this website.

I don't know what will come of this, but @Sci made the right choice for exposing this poster for what he is. And he's a poster who's received eight warnings on this board. He's here to cause trouble and stir things up. People here have the right to know who they're dealing with, especially in this type of circumstance.

While I would've preferred to just let nature take its course, I nevertheless stand by Sci's actions 100%. He's in the right.

    a) This is all about the poster, not about anything that he posted here.
    b) This is borderline doxxing.
    c) Regardless of that, it's bringing in issues from outside sites, which is generally frowned upon here.

    Don't do this again.

Not by a long shot. We don't "expose" posters here, regardless of what they are.

I wish her Phaser Rifle had a second barrel underneath, one that could be for a "Micro-Missile" that flies at the target and auto-targets.
Then you can load each round like a Shotgun Shell.

    That would've been cool.

We already saw simply flying micro drones in the 31st century, we could make simpler things like Micro-Missiles for Beverly to use.
