It just hit me. Tamlyn Tomita got top billing in the end credits, yet she only appeared at the end of the episode and had ONE LINE?

Also, regarding the episode's title ("even in paradise, there am I" or words to that effect): Who is it referring to? Who is "I"?

personally I think it's death - i.e. death exists even in the most idyllic places.

And what exactly the hell does Narek expect to happen when he reaches the Borg cube? Somebody will see him and cut him down...

It's a nicely-designed prop and all, but if the medkit it's in also has a TNG-era hypospray - why bother going through the time and expense to design and build a blink-and-you'll-miss-it new Tricorder? Why not just use a TNG or DS9 prop? The design choices this show makes frustrates me sometimes.
To show the progress of technology.

The same reason people keep talking about Q.
Thing is, I’d fault viewers of any other show for dipping into obvious fan service and dot-connection, but Picard has been a connect-the-dots exercise from day one. Anything we’ve seen before is a possibility.

What? 3 years? No. Where did you get that from? We see Narek is already there on Soji's introduction (remember the black woman talking about "hot Romulans"?). Soji arrived at the cube after(!) Dahj was killed. I doubt it took Picard 3 years to assemble his crew.

Sounds reasonable. But where did you get that from? Have I missed that? When was that said?
We saw Narek introducing himself to Soji in ep1. He was new. She had already been on board for some time. The black Trill woman was also new. Soji helped her settle in because she was already an old hand. Narek later talked about the ship Soji was meant to have arrived on - three years earlier. She wasn't on that ship's manifest, but her career on the Cube started at that time.

I know what Dahj and Soji's missions were because Maddox told us - he said he'd sent them out to find the truth about the synth ban. And we know that one was sent to work within the Federation, the other was sent to what is probably the only Romulan project to which Federation citizens have access. Therefore it seems reasonable to presume that one was investigating possible Federation involvement in the ban and the other possible Romulan involvement in the ban.
I don't get it, where in the episode(s) did they mention Sutra was Lore's daughter. I don't remember anyone mentioning Lore in any of the episodes. All we know is Sutra is Jana's sister much like Soji is Daj's sister because they are created in pairs.
It wasn't mentioned in the episode that Sutra is Lore's daughter because she isn't. She was created by Maddox and Soong, and at no point has it ever been suggested that Lore was in any way involved. That's just fan speculation because Sutra's behaviour reminded them of Lore.

This sounds plausible. But I swear to god, we saw Soji meeting all the Borg for the first time, going through the whole introduction of the place, being in the middle of the newcomers, going wide-eyed through all the beginner stuff...

If she's truly supposed to have been there already 3 years before the show - this is either a massive retcon from the first episodes, or really sloppy writing, disregarding all narrative rule. If you set up an introduction scene - the viewers automatically assume it's an introduction for the characters as well. Except said character is a know-it-all to the new guys. Yes, that's not necessarily how real love works. But in fiction you need some shorthand to get much information across on multiple levels, without bogging the story down. In this case - that information is misdirecting.

Also - and this is off-topic - "find out weather the Romulans were behind the attack on Mars" is a really shitty mission for a Data-like robot who's memory is wiped...

Also, why did Maddox had to go to that gangster-lady on Freecloud of he has a perfect robot hideout place and apparently enough access that he can send robots into the heart of two major Galactic powers?

I had just assumed that was a new group of XBs that Soji had never worked with before.
Picard (to Seven of Nine):

  • The Borg Cube (commanded by Seven of Nine)
Now I'm even more disappointed they killed Hugh, I would have loved to have gotten a spin-off with Seven and him working together on the now functional Borg cube full of other XBs.
Why do people keep talking about Lore? Wasn't he disassembled and likely in pieces across the entire quadrant? It'd be disappointing if they brought Lore back without any kind of foreshadowing. He was permanently deactivated for all intents and purposes, surely?
He was deactivated, but the show never established what happened to him after that.
In the books, Data or Maddox had him, Lal, and I think possible a no longer active Juliana Tainer all locked up in a lab either on the Enterprise-E or at a Daystrom facility.

That doesn't make sense to me, either.
Maybe just so they could have a heist episode?

Also, I suspect we will never learn who Beautiful Flower was, or rather, it is just a strange name they chose for an arbitrary male synth...
