IMDb also lists an Actor (Jon Ian Dredg) as a "Star Fleet Captain" for this episode.

Perhaps we'll finally see another Star Fleet starship?

Had to look that one up, didn't remember what it was.
I haven't watched that show since halfway through the first season.

 

Might just be the "drunk guy collapses in front of someone" trope and he's asking whether the universe just imploded while she snarks at him.

My guess is that this episode will feature a flash back relating to what Maddox saw.
