Picard seemed so shocked that the twin was off world. Does he not know there are other planets? :)

The way that reveal was shot/directed/edited/scored and acted was ridiculous. It would be like police hunting for a murderer learn that....THE MURDERER IS NOT IN THEIR ACTUAL BUILDING! WHOA!!!

They probably have to walk through a decontamination field at work anyway, no need to shower ;)

Still, what kind of people keep their underwear to have sex in bed? Or do you think that they made love, got out of bed, put their underwear on and got back to bed? In that case, how about pajamas instead?

I think it's because of twins, you know, twins do strange things... like dressing the same way or living on the same planet!!! We don't know that now because we only have... one planet but wait and you'll see. It's a rule with twins.

Or at the very least, some faded, oversized cartoon t-shirt for Soji and maybe goofy-print boxer shorts for Narek... Now that made me wonder what Romulan goofy-print underwear might look like.

They probably just slept in the underwear. Did the deed wearing 24th century jeans and a T-shirt. The coke/beer can with 24th century dog ends in is just out of shot, and the computer has only just finished play some kind of 24th century ironic indie band. The Moldy Jumja’s or something. There was probably also video gaming and synthesis vodka.

Amazon subtitles didn't say "feckers" ;)

With Leah's quote, that makes 5 :)
Subtitles are not authoritative. They are done by automation, usually with only scant scant checking for errors by humans. Regional slang tends to be the most often miss translated words and phrases.

Sex in my underwear sounds like most of my love life during my twenties.

What?
I'm having trouble remembering the rather numerous times I snuck out of someone else's bed very early the next morning, put on my clothing, and then home to pass out and take a shower later.

Sometimes it's necessary to get out of there quickly after a long night of imbibing and questionable decisions about where to lay ones head down.

(and then there were the times of waking up and still being 'on a leash' so to speak, but those are tales for another time and place)
;)

Regarding the Romulan hairstyles, we are now seeing a much larger population of civilian (aka undercover!) Romulans. That's why we see them wearing different style clothes and hairdos. In a military organization, you make the people wear uniforms and groom themselves to regulations. Plus, it makes for cheaper TV costumes and hairpieces.

The receptionist in Starfleet HQ was wearing a uniform, so he should have recognized a highly decorated (even if disgraced/resigned, and therefore notorious) officer from the past few decades. Don't officers (because the Academy is for officers) learn [not-a-]military history? I realize it's more like the Navy and there's lots of ship, but this was THE ship. The one on display over their heads-- The flagship; The one that took on the Borg a few times (and mostly survived). Mr. Smiles (not to be confused with Smiley) should have recgonized this dude. I mean, maybe confirmed some identity, but still, should've recognized him.

Did anybody else notice or care about the cool walking-doorway transporters in the plazas? That felt very Stargatey to me. And I expected arrows pointing, to show which direction foot traffic should approach the doorways, just for practicality.
Also, they had to open the doors by hand, to Starfleet HQ. I thought that was kind of funny. Wouldn't they have walk-through force fields by now, that can keep some air pressure out, but allow a person through? Then they wouldn't need to open the doors manually!

I get the point they were making with the receptionist not recognizing Picard, but it did seem weird. Especially since he just did a controversial interview that was presumably broadcast throughout the Federation.
