Star Trek passings

Holman was one of the last remaining actors who appeared in TOS, Outer Limits and Twilight Zone in the 60s.

I think Shatner and Michael Forest are the only others still alive.

Also, J'onn in TFF.
Was it Morgan who shot Chekov? If so, Holman had immense character-actor range rivalling Saul Rubinek. (See UNFORGIVEN, then TNG to confirm this.) I knew one of those Earp illusions returned to serve Sybok, anyhow. I really wanted to see Chekov's shooter get multiple flying leg kicks or Vulcan death grip times five, but noooooo.

John McKnight has passed this last year, 85. He played a Command Lieutenant on ST:TOS's episode 'Return to Tomorrow'.

Stephen Mendillo has died at age 82. Rest in Peace

I have normally researched Trek deaths at the end of each year but I didn't do it last year and this year, for some reason I can't fathom, I started early this year. From all the tv series and movies, I count 17 having passed during the last nine months. There are several still living over 100 and one more turning 100 next month. The two oldest who have passed over the years were 106 and 104. There are many who are 90+.

Thinking about the ages posted by keel....

Once people reach their 100th birthday, it might make sense to think of them as time travelers. In the sense that they have lived long enough to see another era.

Consider the very rare individual who is 106 years old. Someone born in the year 1919. Think about the events that individual has been around to see, the changes in the world across that span of time....

Paul Capp passed earlier this year, age unknown. He played a wounded officer aboard the USS Voyager in ST:Voyager's episode 'Caretaker'. Also a Cardassian in a Deep Space Nine episode and one other episode.
