Star Trek passings

As I said in the thread in the Voyager forum, Jeri Taylor is responsible for creating some of my favorite things in Star Trek, some of them already listed by others here in this thread. I will forever appreciate how what she wrote and thought up brought me countless hours of enjoyment, gave me food for thought and shaped my childhood. Was just randomly watching the excellent Voyager episode “Night” yesterday, unaware that she had passed. It’s from the final year of the show she produced and I wonder what influence she had on that particular story.

Anyway, I spent some time today creating a custom animated avatar in her memory. May she rest in peace. :(

It looks a bit more Star Wars, but good job.

A great avatar for a great producer. Rest in Peace Ms. Taylor.

Terri Garr has passed, age of 79. She hasn't been well for years.
An excellent guest star as the confused 1968 secretary seeing too many impossible things in TOS "Assignment Earth". She had a couple of great speeches and did them well. More famous for her later, non-Star Trek roles though.

RIP.

She was so terrible in Star Trek. She was so great in everything else. RIP.

I forgot about Tootsie!

I should see if I can track down Let it Ride.

I'm so glad all the headlines say "Young Frankenstein" and "Close Encounters". As it should be.

Someone else brought up that she was John Denver's wife in 'Oh God', a movie I'd forgotten about, but saw in the theater. A nice, low key movie that doesn't hit you over the head with its message.

I just read that Terri complained to Roddenberry about the shortness of her already short miniskirt but Gene wanted it 2" even shorter and she walked off the set but won her case.

The obituaries ALWAYS leave out at least one notable part. FIRST BORN was a top-billed role for her, though she was relegated to referee between her sons and Peter Weller.
She was Phoebe’s real mom!

And Mr. Mom’s wife too.

RIP
And Corey Haim's mom in FIRST BORN.
