Would love to get that ship, but I’m not playing the Lockbox game.
Same here; the design has grown on me and the spore drive animation looks fun, but I already have so many ships that I can't honestly see myself spending so much and have it be worth the effort. I might still get it later once exchange prices die down, but that is a very long-term and not very serious plan. Same with the Shenzhou, as I spent my lobi reserves on the NX refit last year and it usually takes ages to restock them now that I've mostly given up on the boxes.

On the other hand, I do like the Bajoran interceptor that comes with the 8th anniversary event, so I will be getting that one. I have a character who specializes in non-aligned ships and crew that I play sometimes, and it should fit well with him.

That's why I just buy the ships on the exchange.

A friend of mine bought the Walker on the test server so I could test it out. They're not free, they just copied a character that had enough Lobi.

Not a bad little ship, and you can change the colour of the red stripes for those who are wondering.

PC for most of us - I think.

With regarding buying ships, I mostly go for C-store ships, as they seem to be better value than the lockbox ships. The last one I brought, I didn't have to use any real money which for me - was a first, as normally I would put some cash into the game.

I've gotten a few Lockbox ships - a Vonph, a NXcort, one of the Tholian ships for a laugh, but I mostly refrain from spending money on the game. I wish I was space rich though, those Crossfields are classy.

Shall be interesting to hear what the announcement is. I'm predicting it has something to do with the next expansion.
Might be this:

He was one of the big pushers for 3D printing, and promised they wouldn't announce it again unless they were absolutely sure it would go through. According to Game Informer, the service starts in March.

The weekly stream is also today instead of Wednesday because Salami going to be on it.

They did a Q&A stream

They're not giving pricing or ship list right now, but they have said around 15 ships won't be printable, mostly ships that have floaty parts, like the Iconian ships.

There will be 3 options: Primed for Self painting, solid colour and hand painted (most expensive)

There will be a button on the in game UI that will send your ship to the company's site where you can make your order (along with a preview)

Any thing with visual FX (like the borg set, and shield materials) can be applied.

All ships will be around 12 inches, they won't be to scale to each other

Registries and fleet logos will be decals, only come with the hand painted version

PC only at the moment, no plans for consoles but they're not ruling it out.

There will be around 20 default ships to choose from on the website for those who don't want a custom one.

I desperately hope the primed version is cheap.
It won’t be, cos model makers are common enough in Trek fandom and they won’t want to eat into their hand painted sales (by hand they probably mean dude with an airbrush and some poor cross eyed student putting the dots in the windows....xD)

Depending on costs - I might be interested. Still good that it is finally happening. Might listen to the stream at some stage. Now gonna continue with making more omega upgrades.
