Taking a community that's already not very big (judging from all the empty queues) and spreading it even thinner? Doesn't sound like the greatest idea to me.

Well, I doubt Cryptic had much of a choice. When it comes to console ports, it's the console manufacturers Microsoft and Sony who control which console can connect to which servers.

As for the community size, one of the big goal for every STO expansion is to bring in new players. Agents of Yesterday is sure to bring in new and returning players too. :)

Plus, at least with Xbox, patches need to go through an approval process, they can't just be thrown up.

Neverwinter on the XB1 is usually a month behind compares to the PC version.

Rumors going around that the next Lockbox is JJ verse themed

And there is a mission where you travel to the Alternate Universe's Delphic Expanse

Based on data extracted from the tribble test server files.

That better not be where any potential Endgame Connies end up.

I tried the Romulan thing for a bit, but I just couldn't get into it.

But since I saw the promo for "Agents of Yesteryear," I may give STO another shot, since I love the universe of TOS.

Yeah, it looks like its going to be interesting.

Any experts in Star Trek lore? The devs are giving away a Lifetime Subscription to Star Trek Online if you can guess what this is. The only other hint that's given is that the scribbles involve about a year's worth of plot on what's coming next in STO.

I already have a LTS, so I can't participate but I can speculate. :D My thoughts are that this will be the plot for linking the upcoming expansion, Agents of Yesterday, with the next expansion that comes about 1.5 to 2 years later. The way I see it, Legacy of Romulus was largely TNG based, Delta Rising was VOY based, Agents of Yesterday is TOS based. So the next expansion would focus on either DS9 or ENT (I'm hoping it's DS9). So what stuff in TOS has connections to DS9 or ENT?

My wild guess is it involves a cross between TOS's "Assignment: Earth", DS9's "Little Green Men" and a timely nuclear explosion. :D:D:D

Playing the Romulan arc is interesting. I still haven't got all the wat through with it. I just finished off being on Nimbus the other day. Probably will start a Reman toon sometime in the future.

Also looking forward to AoY ... as it allows me to explore something else in the game. I have no idea what will happen, but hoping to see the ability to make tos weapons also.

A lifetime subscription? I thought the game has been free to play for some time.

It is - but you get extra benefits as a subscriber (free zen every month, in game shineys, account bank and exclusives etc). There's a list on the PW site somewhere.

Some of the extras are available via one off purchase for standard members

A lifetimer gets a bunch of goodies that can be seen here. Includes respec tokens, bigger inventory space, shared bank slots, veteran-only uniforms, veteran-only bridge officers and veteran-only starships. The best part of being a lifetimer is the monthly stipend of 500 zen, which gives me enough free zen to buy 2 C-Store ships every year.

Here is the current (subject to change) in game calendar for July.

Expansions come out on Tuesdays, the only Tuesday in July without an event going is the 26th. So that might be the day it launches.

The actor who plays Science Officer 0718 posted on Instagram yesterday that he just did some top secret VO work. But that doesn't mean much, but he's only done a little bit of VA. Most of his game work is motion capture.

Those are all c-store. Do you not get TOS ships unless you buy them separately? Or is there a different set of TOS ships for free?

^ There aren't any T6 23rd century ships however each t6 temporal ship has a counterpart in a lower tier and the devs have confirmed you can use the lower tiered TOS style skin on your t6 ship.
