Yeah, it is a shame that people who were there in 2010 have most likely long given up due to almost 4 years of grind over the same stuff, i shudder to think of all the grind over those years, i still get flash backs, horrible to say the least, grind grind grind, borg borg borg. lol

Now you've made me nostalgic for Defera. Maybe I should stop over there and see how fast I can kill Borg with my current weaponry.

Recently, I've been sending my characters to Ker'rat for both xp and loot. It's not the best source of xp, but its always there and I don't have to wait. Its just non stop fighting.

Can you quantify the loot rate?

Going in with an empty inventory, it takes 4-5 cycles to fill up to the brim. That's roughly 20-25 minutes of almost non-stop destroying the Borg. Borg Cubes and the Borg Hulk Node(?) tends to drop between 0 to 2 items. Generally, I net about 600k worth of items and 1/3rd of a level's worth of xp every time I enter Ker'rat.

I have been thinking of making a new tool to assist players in building better ships. It will be sort of like a knowledge database. Suppose I want to enhance the damage of my plasma beams, the tool will provide a list of gear, traits, skills that can do that. If I want to reduce the recharge/cooldown time of my engineering abilities, the tool will list all possible ways to achieve this.

Before I actually do anything, I would like some input from you guys. Would this be useful to you? What sort of things would you like to see?

I think it's a good idea. Skills and Traits can both be hard to get just right. Another thing you may want to think about is BOffs. When choosing a ship to look at the seating and recommending the best BOffs and the best powers, especially since so many ships these days have seats with multiple career paths when including Command, Intelligence and Temporal Agent.

And balancing what a ship should be. For example I have been goofing around with my Torpedo boat again, and have been working on DPS and drains, with skills and traits that magnify both. But I found doing that i sacrificed shields and hull. So if Ican't kill something in the first two volleys i am probably dead. To put more into shielding and hull would detract from drains. So a balanced ship can be challenging.

People will be creating new accounts just to see these because the asking prices will be 1B credits. ESD zome chat will be deluged.

Yeah... I just woke up and groggily grabbed my tablet to read the ship's stats. Those stats woke me up in an instant and had me shouting WTF!

I knew it was going to have temporal and command stations, I was not surprised by that. 5/3 weapon slots surprised me a little as very few if any cruisers have that. The kicker comes when I read the boff stations, that's when I shouted in my bed.

They've turned the Connie into the absolute best ship in the game, probably the only one that could hit over 300k dps. There's barely anything I can critique about the ship's stats, its near perfect. The only thing that could think of to make the ship even better is if it had 4 tac, 4 sci and 3 eng consoles.

Corbomite maneuver console sounds fun and cheeky, though.
Activating it just forces enemies to flee from you before realizing it does nothing. :rommie:
Well and ut refuces defense apparently, so manes them easier to hit.
When I read the name I was fearing they actually made a doomsday one hit kill area weapon out of it or something.

The thing is, this thing would have been a ship everyone wanted before finding out it had those kinds of stats just becuse its a frickin T6 Connie that can use almost all the costumes not to mention the Pavlovian want desire the log in screen likely causes to anyone who came in with the Expansion because of TOS fanboyism.

I didn't care about the T6 Connie, until i read the stats. Now I think I may just open a few packs for the heck of it. Most likely case I can add the Lobi to my stockpiles and buy a few ships to put on the exchange to earn the money to buy a Connie.

I thought they'd said that faction specific ships weren't meant to appear in R&D/lockboxes? I though they were reserved only for alien and other non-faction ships?

Except when it's the original constitution which has been claimed to be permanently vetoed by CBS.
Now you can't give that ship to Klingons and Romulans, so they stuck the contemporary counterparts in there, too, claimed those were super-duper-über-temporal time ships with more powerful weapons than any other before (or after).
