Cross Cult is putting this out in December. The title roughly corresponds to "The Enemies in Star Trek". Does anyone know what the original version is? In response to me saying that it's unlikely that they will put out The Returned they responded "never say never", so that's exciting. Also, thank god the final New Frontier novel was such a drop in quality that I didn't buy the English version after finishing it.
Could be "The Villains of Star Trek" as well Edit: it is: https://www.google.com/books/edition/Star_Trek_Villains/QfoNzgEACAAJ
Cross Cult hat added the new announcements: Oktober 2021 Star Trek - Voyager, Band 16 (Taschenbuch & E-Book) » Das Streben nach mehr I - von Kirsten Beyer November 2021 Star Trek - Picard, Band 2 (Taschenbuch & E-Book & Hörbuch) » Der Dunkle Schleier - von James Swallow Star Trek - Picard (Hardcover) » Der Dunkle Schleier - Limitierte Fan-Edition - von James Swallow Dezember 2021 Star Trek - Voyager, Band 17 (Taschenbuch & E-Book) » Das Streben nach mehr II - von Kirsten Beyer Star Trek Sachbücher (Softcover) » Die Gegner in Star Trek - März 2022 Star Trek - The Next Generation (Taschenbuch & E-Book) » Im Bann der Schatten - von Cassandra Rose Clarke
Cross Cult has announced that they will also translate PIC - Rogue Elements by @JJMiller Next year, but no date of release yet. Time to celebrate!
Interesting to read, that Cross Cult obviously got the rights to the New Frontier ebook finale trilogy. Cross Cult has stopped their ebook-only novels 3 years ago, so it will will be interesting, if they will publish the 3 books as ebooks or will print them as one big novel. Printing each book alone would mean three 150-pages-novels, which sounds unlikely.
Maybe a duology made from the e-trilogy? It is "The Returned I", which suggests at least one more. But not "one big novel".
The first YEEEAAAHHHHH is new Voyager audio books. The second YEEEAAAHHHHH is still open. My guess: printed versions of the already translated CoE eBooks
Not only Cross Cult has new announcements, but also another german publisher: "Verlag in Farbe und bunt" just announced, they got 5 of 6 contracts for Star Trek license products: "Trekkies, aufgepasst! Heute erreichten uns die unterschriebenen Verträge für fünf von sechs großartige Star-Trek-Lizenzprodukte, die ab Herbst 2021 bei uns erscheinen werden. Seid gespannt! Ihr lest an dieser Stelle schon bald mehr dazu! #StarTrek #StarTrekDiscovery #startrekdeepspacenine #eslebestartrek" https://www.facebook.com/ifubverlag/posts/284407469989671 They just released the klingon version of Alice in Wonderland, and they are doing the Star Trek Chronicles, books about every Star Trek Series with lots of background informations: https://www.ifubshop.com/sachbücher/die-star-trek-chronik-teil-1-ent/ https://www.ifubshop.com/star-trek-bücher/die-star-trek-chronik-teil-2-tos/
Okay, the second YEEEAAAHHHH ist New Frontier The Returned, and it seems, there will will be a printed version. https://www.facebook.com/startrekromane/posts/10158456773893231
Thanks for sharing this info! We will also publish an English/Klingon-version of the book. Pre-order: https://www.ifubshop.com/star-trek-bücher/qelis-boqharmey-alice-im-wunderland-k-e/ It is also available for pre-order via Amazon Germany and all other big German shops.
Two more YEEEEAAAAAHHHHHHs were revealed: - The Corps of Engineers Series will be available as audio books (in still hope for printend collections of the stories) - "A stitch in time" will also be published as an audio book. Garaks german voice would be great, but I don't think, they will get him. Andrew Robinsons german voice in DS9 is Friedrich G. Beckhaus, who is already 93 years old. He played Atan Shubashi on Raumpatrouille Orion and is the last surviving crewmember.
Another yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh. And this one I like very much. @Una McCormack's new PIC novel featuring Raffi is on Cross Cult's to-be-translated-list. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh, indeed!
Also, with the May release, it seems like they're catching up with the US releases, which is good to hear! Weirdly, startrekromane.de currently lists The Dark Veil for November and Second Self for May of next year, but Rogue Elements (which is also announced) has no month attached to it yet. Also, excitingly, they said on facebook that good sales on the SCE audio series would increase the likelihood of us getting more new SCE stories.
