My prediction before last weekend was $215 million domestic. I think it'll beat that now.
Star Trek made more money on it's first Monday (7.6 million) than Iron Man did on it's first Monday (6.9 million)! This movie is huge people.
This is pretty big. While I think we really have to wait until next weekend to really get a sense of just how large Trek is going to be, the writing is on the wall that this should be one of the biggest films of the year. If Trek can hold around 5 million on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday that puts it on the brink of 100 million total going into its second weekend.
My hope is that Trek can compete with Tom Hanks in weekend #2, but that is probably too optimistic on my part.

Trek just might have the legs for a long summer run. I know for me, this is the first movie in a veeeery long time that I will see more than once on the big screen. As a matter of fact, this is the first movie in my adult life that I am likely to see several times in the theater.
It's broken $100 million by today(Thursday the 14th)...hasn't it? Anyone got the latest box office update handy?
Well, it passed $99 million yesterday, so it should've passed $100 million sometime earlier today.
As of Thursday it has broken $150 million worldwide and topped $100 million domestic U.S.
