Maybe some other developer will take whats been done and make something out of it.

Star Trek Pinballl II....

Lol, don't even give them the idea to do that.

Perhaps Starship Creator III would be a better option? :)

Yeah and this time they remove the accelerate time function...

Oh and you cant save mid mission, you can only save at the end of a mission....

P2 fired a lot of workers today. This game is vaporware now. I do not know why such a small company was given the license.

Oh well, there is always Stargate Worlds. :(

Yeah. Obviously they're going to try to remain in the business.

That or they are trying to get funds to pay for the lawsuit filed against them.

Oh well. It's not like I wanted to be under the command of Captain BigBlackCockSpock69 anyway.

ROTFL! You've got your finger on the pulse of the average mmo player these days.

Sad to hear but I wasn't sure the premise was what I wanted in a Trek game anyway. Guess I'll be sticking with EvE for now.

Stuff like that happens all the time in the video game business. I've got a bunch of demo discs from Xbox magazine that have videoes and demos for games that never came out and you can only see what might have been.

Well, there's always the Firefly MMO which they announced last year...and haven't shown anything for yet.

Hmmm, I've only recently considered trying one of those MMOGs, shame that this was cancelled to coincide with that thought.

It would be a hoot to try and fly around the Federation or Klingon Empire as a Harry Mudd-esque character.

I don't understand why this is so hard for game developers. If any of them new anything about Star Trek they would know how to make an MMO game for it.Just setting it in the Alpha Quadrant itself should open up many possibilities. Humans,Klingons, vulcans, andorians, telerites etc..

That simple, huh? They just have to know about Trek (and how do you know they don't?) and then magically a fun game will appear?

my concern with the trem mmo was with the minute to minute gameplay would be like...

team based, pvp could be entertaining (assuming each team is running a ship)...

but if you dont want to group with a larger group of people, and dont care for pvp, then it might be tricky.

of course you'd also run into problems with character customization. you can change the height, the weight, and the face... not a whole lot there...

in fact as a character progresses, you still wouldnt see much change beyond the number of pips on a collar. talk about a letdown...

oh well... i tried to get a job on that game a long time ago... glad i didnt... working on a game that gets canned is never fun...

of course there's always the trek references in WoW...
