Star Trek: Lower Decks comics discussion

Hey folks,

I'm a huge Lower Decks fan and while I prefer to think of them as, "exaggerated canon" (ridiculous as such a concept may be as long as Spock's Brain is normal canon), I have to say that I love them in every possible way. So, I'm glad to have the comic books so the adventures of Boimler and Mariner can continue. I think they'll probably be comic-based long before there's a humorous sci-fi novel version (Paramount, call me! JK).

I was curious what people thought and thought it'd be good to have a thread for bringing up the various concepts.

So far?

I actually think quite a few of the 2024 comics are pretty damn DARK. Seriously. The handling of the expanding universe plot and the Time Terrorist were pretty bleak endings.

I did love the miniseries with Holo-Dracula, though.

I haven't read the comics since the culmination of the USS Bonaventure plot. I felt like the resolution was underwhelming and it's put me off the comics. But I'll come back to it.

I'm a huge fan of the show, and I've been loving the comics so far. I didn't really notice to much of a drop off in quality with the new writer last issue.
Oh, and Warp Your Own Way was amazing.
