Put Blunt? Tendi's enforced paranoia and designated 'you and you are in competition' really drags the episode down. I loved the planet they were on. i hope T'lynn left notes on how to make her volumising hair tonic because fabulous hair. Snell... was completely correct.

Yet he also very much could have done things so beyond diffrent. So I don't feel bad about him being made a fool.

BOIMLER! RUTHEFORD! THERE IS A REASON YOU DO NOT HAVE FOOD AT THE CONSOLES!

For Q's sake at the very least run to a replicator and get a towel!

Mariner saying the quiet parts out loud in that Boimler's probably never getting his act together. The whole red pad/beardler thing just.... has overstayed its welcome for me.

Does make a point that irks me about that universe.

18 years and STILL a Lt. Commander?

That's just wrong.
Or worse, since it's implied the entire TNG crew are still together in the Purple Verse, that means they've all spent eighteen years in the same positions. Hell, Data referred to Worf as "Lieutenant Worf" implying he never got promoted in 2371 and maybe never even went to DS9. The Purple Verse is even more stagnant for the TNG characters' careers than the Prime Universe.

I'm choosing to go with the sliders theory.

Same year. however events may have been delayed or accelerated by a nudge or two. meaning for all we know, purpleverse Data is in like... Season five TNG.

One also has to wonder why the Purple Enterprise was fine leaving Data's head behind in a parallel dimension

It could be an instance of needing to address a threat on their side of the portal, such as Romulans coming to poke around, or the like and Gordi along with most of the other senior staff are losing their minds with worry the rift will close with data on the... not... purple universe. Plus if this enterrpise is from a pre-voyager timeframe they might not know about the planet's sped up clock so just assumed Data was going to follow behind in his shuttle.

So imagine them seeing a probe fire out right before the rift closes, and Data hails them from the probe.

That’s still better than four shitty movies and a shitty Picard series.

Honestly, I think they just didn’t think this through all that well. Nobody makes any comments that their Data is dead (on the contrary, they all act like he’s still alive), and Freeman acts like their Enterprise-D still exists too.

Purple Kirk remains in the Purple Nexus to this day, saving the Purple Enterprise-D from its fate

Time could move differently in the Purple Universe, their 2280's could still be our 2260's. Sorta. Wibbly wobbly etc

Same here. We have 3 episodes left in this season. Time to start really explaining that because it's ruining the character so far. Now that Rutherford is also growing a beard I can't help but feel like the initial separation between the two Cerritos' in the first episode created a new fissure (Maybe even time travel involved) and we are seeing the start of the other Cerritos. But then we had the Starbase 80 episode and that place didn't seem so bad. I'm getting a little Impatient I guess.

I'm not sure what to expect at the end of the beard Boimler thing. I'm half expecting Boimler to dig deeper and learn that Alt!Boimler was actually immoral or not that great after all and change his mind, but that would feel a bit anti-climatic.

Tested according to the strictest Starfleet safety standards. They work as well the breakers in Starfleet consoles.
Nobody is expecting the goofy Junior Liuetenant to spill his funky "Margarita-like" drink over the LCARs panel in the Transporter Room.

This is why you have a "Dedicated Transporter Chief/Officer" in a control booth and don't let rando's with drinks approach the console.

Even Geordi addressed this to Sonya Gomez in "Q Who".
Obviously, not everybody else gets the reminder or pays attention to the regulations.
This could've been easily avoided Lt.JG. Brad BOIMLER.
