Or remember voice commands are a thing! One thing I didn’t like is the transporter trouble. Licking, really? Couldn’t they quickly replicate an absorbent cloth, or get a DOT? Comedy can work without slapstick.

That seems like a missed opportunity when licking is an option.Or remember voice commands are a thing!
Or worse, since it's implied the entire TNG crew are still together in the Purple Verse, that means they've all spent eighteen years in the same positions. Hell, Data referred to Worf as "Lieutenant Worf" implying he never got promoted in 2371 and maybe never even went to DS9. The Purple Verse is even more stagnant for the TNG characters' careers than the Prime Universe.Does make a point that irks me about that universe.
18 years and STILL a Lt. Commander?
That's just wrong.
I'm choosing to go with the sliders theory.Or worse, since it's implied the entire TNG crew are still together in the Purple Verse, that means they've all spent eighteen years in the same positions. One also has to wonder why the Purple Enterprise was fine leaving Data's head behind in a parallel dimension
Well, it wouldn't be S5 since he's experienced Time's Arrow.Same year. however events may have been delayed or accelerated by a nudge or two. meaning for all we know, purpleverse Data is in like... Season five TNG.

Purple Kirk remains in the Purple Nexus to this day, saving the Purple Enterprise-D from its fateOr worse, since it's implied the entire TNG crew are still together in the Purple Verse, that means they've all spent eighteen years in the same positions. Time could move differently in the Purple Universe, their 2280's could still be our 2260's. Sorta. Wibbly wobbly etcOr worse, since it's implied the entire TNG crew are still together in the Purple Verse, that means they've all spent eighteen years in the same positions. Mariner saying the quiet parts out loud in that Boimler's probably never getting his act together. The whole red pad/beardler thing just.... has overstayed its welcome for me.
Even Geordi addressed this to Sonya Gomez in "Q Who".And this is why "Food & Drinks" aren't allowed in sensitive areas like "The Transporter Room".
That should be a general ban in many sensitive areas.
Also, if you're going to have drinks, they should be in a easily close-able / lockable container like a proper tumbler / thermos.
Nobody is expecting the goofy Junior Liuetenant to spill his funky "Margarita-like" drink over the LCARs panel in the Transporter Room.Tested according to the strictest Starfleet safety standards. They work as well the breakers in Starfleet consoles.
Obviously, not everybody else gets the reminder or pays attention to the regulations.Even Geordi addressed this to Sonya Gomez in "Q Who".
