"Approximately three months after the events of the season one finale, the U.S.S. Cerritos is dispatched on a mission which results in an encounter with "strange energy." - Press Release

I really liked that episode. It was a little stupid, but highly enjoyable. I loved the comment Mariner made about Jack's Neutral Zone, and the stuff with Tendi and Rutherford was fun, if a little cliched. I really enjoyed the effects. It reminded me of watching shows like X-Men back in the 90s where you had great animated effects and just a fun time. Great start to the season.

The pre-title sequence was amazing! Very cinematic..!
The rest of the ep was a bit over-the-top for me, a bit like the season 1 opener..! It was a fun ride though, I liked it..!

Something about this one didn’t quite click for me. Fun, but not much more than that. I think I’m just kind of getting tired of Mariner’s schtick, but hopefully they’ll work on that over the next few episodes.

Still excited for the rest of the season!

Is the season premiere free or something?

I canceled my account a couple of months ago, and was planning to re-subscribe today but it’s letting me watch the first episode of season 2 without re-subscribing.

I checked my account status and it shows I canceled back in June.

Kinda boring episode for me. More of the same of the weaker season 1 episodes. I had hoped the show would just move on to something a little bit stronger and defining that the last episode of season 1 displayed. Didn't laugh. Tired of Mariner being over the top all the time. Nice opening though.

I rated it a 6. It established where the characters were in their lives, touched on the story lines introduced in season 1, and expanded on the canonical information. It did that well; however, the story was meh.
