"Remember that time when the Trieste stopped the Tzenkethi invasion of Tellar Prime with the aide of Organian separatists? That was a big deal."
Actually, that would be awesome...if she did "Remember when the Enterprise..." and it was something that never happened onscreen. It would be canon some incredible absurd adventure happened that would have made for a fantastic episode...only it wasn't an episode.
Andorians and Humans know each other for a couple of centuries now, it's propably not unusual to cultural appropriate child names in between the UFP founding culturesWhat sort of name is Jennifer for a Andorian?

kirk was not a nerd and is the most hoter man in the federation historyI refuse to buy the premise of this episode. In the utopian future of Gene Roddenberry's Federation, nerds are sexy and Boimler should have no problem getting a hot girlfriend.
I felt like they needed a joke from Barb. "We should probably check on Brad. If he's out past 30 minutes, he's probably dead."
Or it just hits people differently. My honest recommendation-Don't get hung up on the "Why" of things in entertainment. It just didn't work.but looking at the reactions and the fact that I am the lowest score (Again, if we take out the 1), I must of missed something big about this one.![]()
I don't know. Gary Mitchell called him a "stack of books with legs." I always took that as quite nerd like commentary vs. Mitchell's more jock type persona.kirk was not a nerd and is the most hoter man in the federation history

If you didn’t like it, then you didn’t like it. Trust your gut. What did I miss about this episode? I'm looking at the scores and if we take out the person who voted 1, I'm still the lowest score. This episode just rubbed me the wrong way. You had Mariner basically ruining a relationship, I guess said relationship wasn't even real, and the way Mariner and Barb were talking about Boimler while he was unconscious just felt mean spirited to me. Also, while the Cerritos has this mission to implode the moon, you have these other hijinks ensuing and I was asking wouldn't this mission require everyone to be at their posts? I mean how does this ship function if everyone is doing their own thing.
I know people love references but I felt like there might have been too many references. However, that's basically why I gave this episode a 4. I loved the Enterprise references (The Suliban and the Trip Tucker quote) and I still think the First Contact/DS9 Grey uniforms are the quintessential Star Trek uniforms so I loved seeing them again.
I do plan to see this episode again as I've seen all these episodes at least twice, but I would like to know what to look for to make this episode seem better for me. I'm not known as a "Basher" on this forum, but looking at the reactions and the fact that I am the lowest score (Again, if we take out the 1), I must of missed something big about this one.![]()
My recent foray in to comedies of the last decade does not inspire confidence on this one. The "Will they/won't they" tension will be played up and eventually they will...I hope they don't try to pair Mariner and Boimler up at some point.

I see what they did there.
I don't get it

I’m just having a little fun. I don’t mean anything by itIf you are dead set on an alien name origin, perhaps it was originally spelled J'neffer? I'm thinking of a M'k'n'zy of Calhoun/Mackenzie Calhoun situation.
