Can you make it so you can change your vote? Usually that's an option in episode polls, but hasn't been for Lower Decks for some reason. After a second or third rewatch, opinions can change a little.

Personally, I'm not a fan of that option in this case. It's probably best to sit on it before voting.

I favor public voting. I don’t pay much attention to the people who always vote 1 or 10, and I can’t interpret the results if I can’t see who gave what.

I like seeing who voted for what because people see the episodes at different times, so the size of the thread depends on when people see the episodes. If someone sees the episode on Saturday and this thread is already 200 or 300 posts in, than finding what people voted for seems a little difficult and time consuming.

It doesn't matter what we go with but I do enjoy seeing how people voted.

I also second being able to change your vote. A lot can happen from when you first see the episode to when you decide to rewatch it.

Add one more to the option of Public Voting.
Your reasoning is sound, but really won't do much to deter the folks who enjoy being antagonistic anyway.

Besides a little hurumph now and again keeps you Mods on yer toes.

I actually think a public poll encourages a more honest vote rather than a secret one.

And everyone remember: this is LOWER Decks, so the lower the vote, the higher the score. Let's all show our appreciation for the series by voting appropriately and uniquely for this 1 of a kind show. If you love the episode, vote 1 or 2. If you hate it, 9 or 10.

    #VoteLowForLowerDecks

On a completely unrelated sidenote: I disagree with making the votes public.

I just say what my vote is. Makes it easier. It's usually going to be a 7 or higher, but you never know. I gave "The Escape Artist" a 6. Dun, dun, dunnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure how I feel about the message being not following the rules. Yeah you want to do what is right, but this is still starfleet right? I think the message should have been about flexibility and making sure you don't wear out the crew. Of course this being Lower Decks, and it's late, there was the joke that went over my head.

I think it was a decent episode and I loved the use of buffer time and the end scene was great (Miles O'Brian being the most important person in Starfleet history) but it was kinda ruined with the Captain and Boimler scene. My initial score is probably a 6, but like last week I will need to rewatch this one.

I don’t know if the episodes are getting better or I’m just growing more comfortable and in tune with the style of the show, but I’m finding myself enjoying this more and more each week.

Smart decision to pull Boimler and Mariner apart for an episode too. I like them together, but I feel like they both came into their own in this episode.

I think inherently being Starfleet and being 'enlightened' means that people will not shrug off their tasks. They know that things still need to be done, but not at the insane schedule.

that’s what I said in the first paragraph. You don’t want to kill the crew but you also need to set standards as Star fleet officers and be flexible when needed. It’s like what Picard said at the end of Redemption 2 to data. Under the circumstances and for the greater good, you can bend the rules.

I fully admit that this was a comedy and I’m probably reading too much into it. However, I was enjoying the episode (and they did make Boimler more competent, which was a complaint I had last week) up to the Captain and Boimler scene and I guess what was supposed to be a joke kinda irked me instead.

I can relate, being ex-military and the 90s motto was "more with less" as they were cutting our manning and upping our workload.

Quote of the week for me: "You look like a fucking scratching post."

The thing with Miles was great but I hope that’s not what they meant when they said there would be legacy cameos. I wanna hear voices!
