I still maintain this is one of the worst pieces of Trek ever conceived. On a par with the Animated Series and Discovery.
Yet you keep watching.

Oh i didn't watch episode 2, i was simply maintaining my viewpoint.
Lily called him "Zef" in FC, but it was pronounced "Zeef."And....Trek has not been this much fun since Jim Cromwell's wonderful portrayal of Zeff Cochrane in First Contact.
Has anyone called him 'Zeff'?
It fits.
Why is it uneducated according to you?So just an uneducated drive-by?
Why is it uneducated according to you?
A viewpoint that means absolutely zero because you haven't watched this episode.Oh i didn't watch episode 2, i was simply maintaining my viewpoint.
Now we know why Harry is the forever ensign.I always found that scene pretty stupid. Paris's arrival didn't resolve Kim's issues with Quark. He was going to buy them to avoid an incident. The quality was irrelevant. I hope Quark went and filed that complaint.
So just an uneducated drive-by?
Thanks for the update, I guess?Oh i didn't watch episode 2, i was simply maintaining my viewpoint.
As my friend who was in the Navy once said, "The best way to survive is not to avert problems but to get them to the point they're not your problem."

The more I think about it, I actually see little reason to think things would have played out much differently had Mariner not been there, except that Boimler would've likely had an even rougher time on the planet. Why should we believe K'orin wouldn't have simply drunk alone, brandished his d'k tahg and bullied Boimler into taking him wherever he wanted to go in any case? It seems to me that, rather than "screwing up" the mission, Mariner in fact saved it from going even further off the rails than it otherwise might have. (And, to boot, managed to turn it into a learning experience for Boimy Boy that he ultimately came through with his self-confidence bolstered, rather than feeling defeated despite all his meticulous preparation!)Any plot can be changed by prefacing it with "If..."
But you did.I think Janet Weiss said it best:
if only we hadn't made this journey...
But it did.If only the car hadn't broken down...
But you're not.if only we were amongst friends...
Well one out of three ain't bad...Slut...Or sane persons...
FTFYI still maintain this is one of the worst pieces of Trek ever conceived. On a par with

Just assuming it must be so. If you assume it must be so then you can never be disappointed. Self fulfilling prophecy hard at work.So just an uneducated drive-by?
You are entitled to hate or like anything. This thread is for discussion of episode 2......there's other threads you can air your opinion about the show in general. No need to pop into every single one, especially when you have not even watched the episode.Oh i didn't watch episode 2, i was simply maintaining my viewpoint.
