Probably not

There may be a DSC-style Klingon in the Risa District in the second episode. There's a bald Klingon-looking woman(?) with head ridges and widely-flared nostrils. That may be their way of slipping them into the 24th century series so that they can coexist with TNG/Movie-style Klingons and show that yes, all Klingon looks coexisted within the Empire.

Picard canonized Romulans with ridges as being "from the North." I'm sure they'll eventually do the same with Discovery Klingons.

(Oh yeah, those two mutant guys from K'atlas)

So are Discovery-style Klingons officially gone forever?

I guess we'll have to wait to see if any appear in Discovery Season 3

Disco Klingons is just what Klingons looked like in the 2250s, for whatever reason. Given that we're getting two more series in the 2250s, and I suspect Discovery will return to its home era sooner rather than later, Disco Klingons (or their softening cousins) will be around for awhile.

Strange New Worlds will probably explore Klingon culture more intimately, and probably give us some explanation for why they look like that and why they will be starting to look like TOS Klingons.

Everything I've read has said the show is going forward in its new setting, not returning to its original setting.

I hope not. I'm actually interested in strange new worlds, not continuing to beat on TOS concepts.

ENT doubled down on that concept and ran with it. We know why a lot of Klingons looked the way they did in TOS. Now DSC just has to decide to verbally address it, which thanks to the last series before it premiered made the Augment Klingons a pretty big elephant in any room involving mid-23rd century Klingons.

While I do hope we have more Discovery style Klingons (my favorite iteration after TUC and ID), Discovery is not planning on returning to its home era any time soon, at least from what Kurtzman has indicated.

Yeah, I just have a strange feeling that Season 3 will be the only season set in the far future, and they will end on a cliffhanger of returning to the present. They seem so adamant that Discovery is off to the future forever, even if this flies in the face of all the world building and character arcs of the first two seasons. I want Saru to become a legitimate Captain, I want Tilly to get through the Command Training Program, I want Burnham to experience a more complete redemption. These need to be done in the 23rd century where intended, not by Voyageresque play acting or some In-Name-Only organization throwing them a bone.

It feels like the show is going off on a tangent by flying into the far future, and will return to its correct course in due time.

I hope they can build a compelling narrative in the far future. Besides, I doubt they are going to want three shows all covering the same years (Strange New Worlds, Section 31, Discovery).

The second episode wasn’t as bad as the first. I definitely enjoy the show more with less Mariner. I just can’t stand her or Boimler. The less of them the better.

I feel the show would benefit from moving them down 20% from their biggest traits:

* Boimler needs to act like a guy who actually passed Starfleet academy and is not 12 years old.
* Mariner needs a reminder that she's an outrageous screw up every episode.

It's a weak 7 for me the stuff with the robot guy was great, the away mission had its moments, loved the ferengi bit.

Just rewatched it and gave it a 7. I still liked the Rutherford stuff, but they really need to tone down Mariner and make Boimler a little more competent. He did seem to know what he was talking about when they first arrived on the planet but then it just kind of nosed dived from there. They are still starfleet officers, they should have some really good understanding of alien races. The stuff with Rutherford was great though and I laughed on the second watch as I did on the first. I also loved the various Easter eggs like Raktajino (I'm currently rewatching DS9 so I appreciated it here) and the Prophets. Also, I'm still really impressed with the animation. The end scene with the Pulsar was gorgeous and I love how colorful the Cerritos looks.

I always found that scene pretty stupid. Paris's arrival didn't resolve Kim's issues with Quark. He was going to buy them to avoid an incident. The quality was irrelevant. I hope Quark went and filed that complaint.

Pretty much where I stand.

I still maintain this is one of the worst pieces of Trek ever conceived. On a par with the Animated Series and Discovery.

Speaking about badly written scenes, there is a review on Agony Booth by Tyler Peterson. He made me realize something I missed totally... That it´s clear that Tendi knows Rutherford is changing career because of her, but she is in utter denial about it in the end.

I like Discovery and Picard fine, but it is nice to have new Trek in episodic form. I can tune in and not have to worry about "Previously on Star Trek...". Stand alone episodes can be watched at random, and are more distinctive. I am not into binging ten hours of a show and then done with it.
As for the show Lower Decks its self; it's growing on me, I voted an 8.
