It isn't unreasonable for TOS to cost more. The 6 movie set has 6 discs. The TOS set has ~18, plus a lot more work went into restoring it. And as BBailey stated, Amazon's been having it available pretty consistently under $100 for the last several months now.

My order for the Limited Edition bluray set that comes with the phaser prop replica has just shipped out from Amazon! This I think is a good deal as it comes with the phaser prop replica which cost a lot more than the bluray set if you were to get the phaser on its own on ebay or anywhere else..

And like someone here mentioned, I too don't really care much about the additional contents etc etc... Whats important is the movie in crystal clear HD quality which I can enjoy at the comfort of my home.

Didn't they already sell a phaser blu ray box with Star Trek 2009?

Did they? There was a set which included an Enterprise model, but a phaser set I'm less sure about.

I don't think they did but I'm not 100% sure either.
But what if they did? Is it not allowed to happen again for some reason?

Btw it's supposed to be a new redesigned version, whatever that means, according to Qmx

I got THIS. Figure the SF will all be online eventually anyway, I can wait for them.

Do we really need to include big-ass marketing images when we quote posts?

I got the same thing essentially, but ordered the items from Amazon. Came out a little cheaper.

I had already seen it several posts up. You know, in the one that was quoted.

I needed to visit Walmart anyway so I timed my visit to coincide with today. My heart leapt when I didn't see that package on the doorway display - I thought it sold out already  but the video dept. had a rack of them. Phew!

Why don't you send Jarod a PM and ask him whether he'd be willing to fix it?

Or, you know, use the button ---> [IMG]

Because I don't think it's against the rules, so no report post and I generally disdain running to mama and papa, and sending a message to a single person does not inform a community on shared concerns.

For informing a community on shared concerns, you want the Questions, Suggestions & Feedback forum, which is provided for just such a purpose. For purposes of an ongoing thread in this forum, your recommended options are the ones I suggested in my previous post.

Any other comments you might have on this issue should be taken to PM; please do not further disrupt the discussion.

Paramount is doing it again. Tomorrow Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit is coming out on blu-ray and it has a exclusive to Target bonus disc with 25 minutes of extras. I hope that they don't pull this crap again with the Star Trek 3 blu-ray...

Paramount will do it again and more, especially since there's so many Trekkies that will buy anything with the Star Trek brand. They know exactly who they're selling these products to.
