Star Trek in dreams

This morning - 01-16-2018 - I had a dream involving TOS episodes. I don't remember much, but the dream was about three episodes in the third season. The episodes were all imaginary ones. One was near the beginning of the third season, one was later and had the tile the "The Savage _____" (possibly "The Savage Syndrome" and obviously suggested by "The Savage Curtain" title), and one was the last episode but not "Turnabout Intruder".

There was discussion about whatever the three episodes had in common, but since I don't remember anything about them I can't guess what that was.

Years ago I had one or more dreams involving TOS movie marathons. But the movies weren't the real TOS movies but were imaginary ones. There was considerable comparing of various qualities of the different movies.

So has anyone else ever had dreams about Star Trek.

I've dreamt I was sneaking around the Riverside Shipyard from ST'09 at night, avoiding patrolling guards with guard dogs:lol:

I'm pretty sure I've had Trek related dreams but can't remember anything specific. I think I had a Voyager dream way back when it was in its second season.

I tend to have a lot of genre dreams, but not so many dreams in a specific show or movie.

In grad school, I had a dream that I was over at my friend's trailer apartment with several other friends from school, and suddenly there was an explosion outside. We all ran outside, and Romulan Warbirds were flying over the horizon, blasting the countryside with disruptors. I and my friends were suddenly wearing TNG-Era uniforms, with phasers, and my friends were fighting off Romulan troops while I had some kind of "photon bazooka" that I was using to shoot down Warbirds.

And "Renegade" by Styx was the accompanying soundtrack. No idea why.

"Star Trek: Voyager" has been leaking into my dreams since I began watching the show at age 12.

In one dream that I had some time in high school or college, I dreamed that actor Jack Black and myself were crewmen aboard Voyager. A hull breached, and everyone had to cling for dear life. ("Voyager" looked like an indoor playground though, and the opened "hull" looked like a modern airplane door leading to a blue sky full of clouds. But there was still roaring wind and the threat of death.) I survived, but Crewman Black was less lucky. Last I saw of him, he was slidding down the floor towards the opened "hull," going "Aaaaaahhh...."

A more serious and badass dream I had later on involved an evil clone of Seven of Nine. Seven got split into two copies of herself somehow (transporter accident probably) and one copy wound up living a completely different life that turned her into this evil badass assassin.

But the most memorable "Star Trek" dream in my life is not my own. When I was a kid, my younger sister had a dream that involved Chakotay in a tent eating a Wendy's meal. For maybe a week I wouldn't let her live that down, and after that, for literally a decade, I dared not bring it up for fear of her wrath. To this day, at age 29, I still can't drive by or hear about Wendy's without thinking about it.

This was what I dreamt about last night:

ENTERPRISE: THE MOTION PICTURE
Set in 2171 (ten years after the founding of the Federation, and twenty years after the launch of the NX-01) Admiral Jonathan Archer reunites his crew in a surprise bid to pull the old NX-01 out of mothballs for one final mission. It seems an ancient technology has been stolen from a Vulcan museum, a piece of a device used by a civilization thousands of years before man evolved (in the dream, it resembles the Tesseract from the MCU, and is even explicitly referred to as being the same device, but for this synopsis we'll say it actually is it's own thing). The search for the missing piece leads them first to Andoria, where Shran welcomes them in as guests. Soval is there too, representing Vulcan at a diplomatic dinner. When a separatist Andorian faction breaks in, they brutally murder Soval while trying to get to Archer, who Shran buys time for by going into battle with the separatists. Archer then receives a cryptic message summoning him to an undiscovered alien planet, which turns out to be an ancient but extremely advanced archive of technologies all similar to the missing device, run by a man with glowing blue eyes whose voice sounded a lot like the centaur from the first Harry Potter movie. He warned that the separatists were a religious cult who had taken the device and that the Klingons had learnt of it's power. Just before I woke up, I heard Hoshi call Archer's communicator saying, "Sir you better get up here. A Klingon ship has just entered orbit."

The following scene is a post-credit, but it appeared out of order in my dream. It featured an 18 year old Montgomery Scott, several decades later, proudly explaining to Archer and his Academy instructor that he had discovered the secret to transwarp beaming. After testing it on Archer's beagle (who is referenced as the "13th one he's had", and not the original Porthos) the beagle's transport signature bounces around various locales around the world, ending up in Singapore before inexplicably beaming off-planet to some unknown location. Archer calmly but angrily orders that Scotty be sent to Delta Vega to work, until after a few months time, at which point the "new" Enterprise will go pick him up. When Scotty inquires about if Archer will command the new ship, Archer smiles somewhat sadly, and says, "No, but the new captain won't go any easier on you."

Twice I saw Klingon D7 warships in the clouds and every now and then I invoke the names Kirk, Spock and McCoy in a tough situation in my real life. The tougher it is, the more names I invoke.

I'm a Niner first and foremost so if I have ST dreams they tend to be DS9 related. Following my last rewatch, I dreamed that I was a rebel Cardassian who had somehow managed to get hold of a shuttle with a transporter, and when Damar was shot, he didn't die but was transported out. I nursed him back to health and he ended up being the first leader of Free Cardassia, beginning the process that would eventually make Cardassia a part of the Federation.

I once had a dream many years ago (about the time First Contact came out) when I was being chased by Borg but with hoover attachments for arms and hid under the kitchen table. Last thing I can remember is a pair of them crouching down and reaching in to grab me,

I had a Discovery dream the other night. There was a room full of Smoothy Forehead Klingons in TOS style gear, and we’re about to get a major plot reveal, but was woken at the crucial moment.

Guess the make up change affected me more than I realised.

Over the years, I've seen many "lost" episodes of Star Trek in my dreams. They usually take place on an Enterprise that seems to be a mixture of elements from TOS and TMP. Several required the crew the abandon the bridge and operate from an expanded, more "bridge-like" auxiliary control. I remember that in one dream the Enterprise itself had to be abandoned and the crew took escape pods and shuttle craft down to the surface a hostile planet.

The other night I had the weirdest friggin' STAR TREK-related dream. I only remember one "scene" though I know there was more to it than what I'm about to report, here. Jimmy Doohan was in full STAR TREK regalia on the lounge room set of "The Final Frontier," where the captain's wheel was. I saw him lying on his ample stomache on the parquet floor, which was covered in autographs of cast and crew in black marker and his chubby cheek was pressed lovingly against it for reasons I couldn't fathom. As I contemplated this, I hear Leonard Nimoy's voice and lift my eyes to a television above showing him being interviewed. He's outside at night, perhaps off to the sides, somewhere, during the premier of TFF and he's praising the movie with words, whilst his voice is hesitant and uncertain. Like a Man who's trying to convince himself of something he knows isn't true. That's all I remember about it. I don't know why I even dreamed that, it's completely unrelated to anything, I haven't even watched TFF in a long time. It's extremely rare for me to dream anything STAR TREK, so my working theory is that it's probably just the result of having had all of those triple-cooked Maris Piper chips ...

Dreams... from insanity

Deep inside the psychological rehabilitation center after 2+ weeks wake I still stared at the the upper right corner of the ceiling dismantled in decaying life . Why? ~wasn’t even close to my thoughts I knew it was something about that last high that wasn’t on.. I, I don’t think like this,.. the person in the corner — there — not there — did not matter but then Captain Pikes aliens they were in my ceiling observing,.. on. ON,,,. In the dream...watchers of my life and deeply seated fears of observations into my mind,..

I had a dream I was trapped on Voyager during a Red Alert and I had no idea what was going on, but then Torres found me and proceeded to give me a tour of the ship, despite my protests that we should get to engineering before the Borg obliterate us into nothingness.

I've had plenty of Star Trek-related dreams when I was a young man. However, board policy prevents me from describing them in detail.

from last night: Janeway and Seven were on an away mission and wound up trapped in cave after a rock slide or earthquake. They eventually start to figure out that something creepy and sinister is in the cave with them... and then I woke up. Damn.
