Taking a life is a big deal. If one were to take these posts anywhere close to seriously, then a lot of you seem to have no problems with the notion of killing someone. Removing the whole "you know what I'd do?" fantasy, I wonder how many really could go that far.

Funny, my first reaction was, 'yes, in theory I'd probably offer the hand, but if it was real, and he really killed my son, could I possibly be so magnaminous?'

The truth is I probably don't have that level of decency in me, but Kirk does because he's the hero.

It's easy to be against killing in principle. However, if someone killed the person you loved... you might just forget that and go nuts.

Actually, it's the other way round. Very easy to talk tough, but when it comes to it, you'd piss your pants.

Nah to be honest I would've kicked him squarely in the face right from the get go

I mean the fight was already in process, whether I was scared or not wouldn't have mattered much I just would want that jerk the hell off of my leg.

I liked Kirk offering his hand to Kruge. He didn't ask Kruge to surrender, just 'give me your hand'. Much better than what NuKirk did with Nero.

Yeah, I could see me going nuts and beating the guy to pulp, but I don't think I could actually kill him. Stand by and do nothing while he dropped off a cliff into a sea of lava? Yes, that I could do. Inaction is easier than taking a life - for me.

Offering my hand to save his life? Nope. Wouldn't do that. You pays your money, you takes your chances.
