Wow that whole idea was incredibly stupid. Now that it's spore-driven itself back to wherever the hell it's from, hopefully the really stupid ideas are finished. Before you defend it, I'm sure people were talking about TNG's wet sand and farpoint life forms as amazing TV at the time. Now we know they were in fact trash, as this was.
