Star Trek Edison Episode One:A Muddled Reawakening

Really nice terror beats. One officer after another succumbing. Interesting the vulcans are falling before the humans. That's a nice touch, suggesting human emotional control is more effective in this situation than vulcan.

Thanks!! rbs
I took a psychology coarse in college where we looked at a case study of a pest controller who snapped at an irate customer once and strangled her to death. The explanation was that he was always described by everyone who knew him as the most gentle and steady man they knew, but a chemical imbalance from his pesticides had infected his brain.

Where most normal people wouldn't have had a problem, his history of calm, good nature proved insufficient experience for his brain, at controlling moments of violent emotion. Because he was so much the opposite of the violent, angry personality, he was emotionally unequipped to handle the new feelings of rage that came over him.

No one who knows me now would ever imagine I used to have anger control issues. I still do. I just learned how to step away, not physically, but psychologically, to the point that I try to never allow my facial expression to change.

Unfortunately, I'm part Choctaw, part Chickasaw, and mostly German and Scottish, which gives me resting serial killer face. So, if I'm even just mildly confused, people around me start acting like a pack of pissed off wolverines just showed up.

Thanks!! rbs
