Star Trek Discovery in trouble, and a de facto reboot?

But even with all those hassles, I loved working with all stuff. I'd advise anyone with the means to experience analog media and hardware before it becomes overly cost prohibitive.
I agree. I was fortunate enough to have grown up on vinyl and R2R. My dad had a pretty good collection of reels. They were pretty big in Europe when he was stationed over there. He could get albums right on base for really cheap. Unfortunately, when I was in high school my mom wanted to put an addition on the house off the room he kept all that stuff in, so she made him get rid of it all, even most of the LPs which is a real bummer. I'm really wishing I had that copy of After School Special. :(

I'm to the point now where I wish they'd just have Discovery be in its own timeline, apart from both the Original and Kelvin Timelines. That way the show can just be its own thing we wouldn't have to argue over stuff like this.
Like that would stop us!

If everyone would just look at canon deviations and shrug, you wouldn't have to even define what timeline it's in. I'm of the opinion it really shouldn't matter one way or the other.

It was actually shown in ENT in the Temporal Cold War that the new show Discovery would only last one season.

Of course, the transmission might have been garbled but I seem to recall that.

Doom doom doom what is there to do what to see except howl into the void and make a fleeting oasis in the sand. There is no hope, no respite, only unending bite. The dark has seen us and sent us to our destruction proceeded by our madness. In our blind strivings we have washed upon a pitiless shore and what God may be has cursed us forever more.

All our aspirations and dreams are crushed, our bodies are broken and souls shattered. All is in vain for death, defeat, and eternal damnation ride for us on their way.

The four horsemen of the apocalypse come faster and faster and yet are prayers are answered with laughter. All comes to dust and the silver chord is broken our labors lost unto the river of time and the forgetful nature of man. Oh gods what curse this land!

As it was once said only the gods can through this forever and yet not fill pain. The void laughs at our despair and eternal perdition inches eve closer all dreams of glory are broken, our children we have given to sacrifice and yet none have been satiated. Our sorrows are without end only defeat and dismay stays with us until the end.
