Not every romulan lives on Ni'var, probably some that wanted to reunify moved, not everyone did. there is probably still a healthy population in whatever sequal state to the empire is.

David Cronenberg's character made it clear that the Federation had quite a bit of "multiverse" contact after the TNG era. I wouldn't be surprised if they chatted up the Kelvin Timeline and learned what happened to Spock, although it's possible by the 32nd century like the Mirror universe the "distance" between universes now makes a crossing less likely.I wonder if Spock is listed as MIA. I mean the last time they would have heard of him was when he disappeared into the "black hole" along with Nero.
Only a few of the Romulans have been saved from the supernova, they must be a small minority on the formerly Vulcan planet.
So, respectfully (genuinely not trying to be a dink, just curious)...you don’t like the Berman era and you clearly don’t like the Kurtzman stuff....are you actually a Star Trek fan?
Because that’s like 80% of the entire franchise.
This doesn’t make sense to me. Everyone cries, but no one expects total strangers to cry with them, I don’t see a show trying to gain sympathy from an audience, I see real people reacting to real situations, realistically. Crying doesn’t need to be “earned” because it’s an emotional response.
They never gave a number.Only a few of the Romulans have been saved from the supernova

Romulus most likely wasn't their only planet.I think we can safely assume that it was a small minority.
They never gave a number.
Also don't forget the population on colony worlds, starbases, starships.
When was that established? IIRC, he was just lieutenant and on his first deep space assignment. In fact, the XO on the Farragut was the one who commended Lt. Kirk's action .OS when it was established that he was the #1 on the Farragut prior to serving on the Enterprise.
He only made her acting 1st officer until he can find someone else.
He must be unhappy with all these other poor bridge officers![]()
It's a way to give Wiseman more to do. Frankly her role has been nebulous since becoming an officer.well this episode wasn't great.... last week was infinitely better and i'm questioning saru captainship in light of making tilly his temp XO
Nah, just the spore drive part.An okay episode but how did the admiral know that Spock was Michael’s sister? I thought all information about her was erased.
Why? Where is it established she was in an alternate timeline? The mother thing came out of nowhere and made no sense since she should be stuck in a alternate timeline. I
They were also not very expansionist. They're a minority. Vulcans had been in space for millennia yet only ten thousand survived the destruction of Vulcan.
Because they altered future history after she went back to the control destroyed future. Unless her Red Angel suit protected her from the changes in the timeline. Why? Where is it established she was in an alternate timeline?

Just because we don't hear about them doesn't mean they don't exist. They're an expansionist empire with large areas of space.yet we never hear of these planets only of small colonies, sparsely populated.
That's a bit of an insulting question to ask, TBH.
Just because I critique the various eras of Trek doesn't make me any less of a fan. I want Trek to be the best it can be. Critique doesn't not always equate to hatred.
There's some of Berman-era Trek I like, some of this current era. You can't asses someone's complete taste by just a handful of posts in a single thread.
Nor do you have to like it all to be a fan. You can like a piece of it, all of it, or just a single movie and still be a Trek fan.

The Picard tie-in material said the harmful radiation from the supernova would affect not just the Romulan system, but other systems in the Romulan empire after it travels several light years in a few years' time. One would think these "huge" planets would give shelter to a few refugees instead of them having to go to desolate places...
