Techno-babble, pseudo-science, and Piller filler.

I mean I can see them now having developed some time of medicine in the 800 years or so they've had with Trill culture and physiology to prevent rejection so quickly. I just wonder if we will see some type of issue arising from that and everything that goes with it, would she remove the symbiont having had it for so long? etc

Hold on did Stamets just tell the 16 year old their big secret, the whole spore drive and the fact they are from 930 years ago?

Yep. Totally spilt the beans. Er, mushrooms.

Deduction for bad writing, I give it 6 points
Well, Stamets has just navigated a jump, was still tripping on the ‘shrooms (which have given him flashes of the future before), and he already knew the kid would join the crew?

(Am I resolving the Trek paradox correctly or am I channeling the No-Prize from 70s era Marvel Comics? I can never tell.)

The Chase
explained there was a single alien race four billion years ago. That really doesn't explain why there's not say a race 50,000 years or 2, 10, or 100 million years old.

And it revealed that the descendant of The Founders was the creator of all known races ;).

Just kidding :guffaw::hugegrin:. It's a running joke for me because Salome Jehns who played the "creator" alien in ''The Chase'' later was cast as the Female Founder, leader of the Dominion, in DS9.

I wonder how the Trill symbiot has managed to survive for two years in the body of a human and if it'll come into play this season?

My theory: 1) Adira has some Trill ancestors she doesn't know yet or 2) The symbiont can integrate itself easily inside a young humanoid host. Adira was only 14 when she was joined with the Tal symbiont. Perhaps it's able to survive better inside a younger non-Trill body? Perhaps she also takes regular injections of Trill plasma/DNA so her body doesn't reject it

If 2) is right, we'll have to see whether this will remain the case as she gets older.
I think Grey, whom we will meet in next episode, is supposed to take over from Adira as Tal's new host when the time comes.

I posted it earlier, but I really feel like this season of Discovery has been the mashup of Star Trek and Star Wars that I've wanted for a long time. Somehow, mashing these things up has made it feel more like both Star Trek and Star Wars, and mostly in good ways.
I posted something similar. It really does include a SW vibe.

Or 32nd century medicine is helping.

Yep. Ally McBeal is out to destroy the universe with her short skirts.......Bwawawawa..... Oh gods I remember all the fuss people made about that.
