When they showed the memory of Airiam and her husband right after the opening credits, I thought it was a commercial for some Caribbean vacation. Had to rewind and watch again.

The scenes of Airiam interacting with the other crew members and editing her memories should have been in earlier episodes. That way the audience would have known more about her before her big episode.

Pike said "shitstorm". Sorry about that profanity sensitive dudes.

No Culber or Tyler this week.

Stamets used some nice bit of logic to get Spock to help him.

I was confused, was Nahn close to death/suffocating? There were more pressing matters than dealing with another person who was almost dying? Boy that is cruel.

Yes, she's Barzan, and needs the face device to breathe. Airiam ripped it out so Nhan started choking.

I liked that she was the one who airlocked Airiam, and clearly was suspicious of her before.

I know when the time comes when we hear Control speak I'm going to be profoundly sad it won't be inhabited by Jimmy Doohan...

Could we be heading toward a season finale where the Red Angel is the corporeal embodiment of the ultimate AI? One that's been imbued with compassion and mercy and the resources to demonstrate them? Instead of short-circuiting it like Nomad or the M5, the crew of Discovery imprint it with life-revering protocols.

Next week’s episode is called ‘The Red Angel’ so we’re probably be learning more about her next week.

So were the admirals we seen last week also fake? They haven’t said how long they were hiding.
It's a possibility. It's a good assumption to make I think. Meaning both Starfleet and Section 31 are being played. That said you're right we don't know how long they were hiding but I don't think it was that long. Maybe a few days.

The trailer appears to show Burnham being translated into the Red Angel as well. "I'm ready." *Bright red light shining on her crew mates*
