I half-expected Burnham to yell out, "KATARINAAAA!"

Spock offering solace to Stamets over Culber's mindset was absolute human compassion. Wonderful. Just wonderful.

I bet you wouldn't say that if it was you in that airlock.

It looks like Burnham is getting Total Recalled next week. Gonna deep dive into the future computer?

It's rare that I'm speechless after watching anything, but goodness that was intense.

And I have NO clue what to even expect next week--which is fine with me!

No there weren't. Plus, it totally devalues the life of the other girl and undermines the tension of the final scene. If other matters are that important, than airlock Airiam already. No tension there.

Once Airiam is behind the door, check on the other girl. Burnham was not doing anything while Tilly did her thing.

Good episode until then, but that takes it down to a 3. It was egregious in my view.

I wonder how many times they're going to deliberately put Nahn in danger while wearing red just to fuck with us?

That Andorian should have outlasted all the others in the cold...

That was great and emotionally draining at the same time. Discovery needs to stop doing this to me but at the same time I don't want them to stop!

Oh yeah they're really taking this teasing of Nhan dying to the limit. I fear next time they do this I'm going to assume she's alive and be shocked and hurt if they really do it.

Then we need to see that on camera.

Basically, Frakes trades the cheap reveal at the end of Nhan hitting the button by having everyone ignore her while she suffocates while simultaneously agonizing over having to airlock Airiam.

    Weak. As. Hell. Booooooo!

Well, the more I think about this episode the more emotionally hallow it rings. I still give it an 8, but this episode could have been much more emotional if the show actually gave a damn about Airiam before.

So were the admirals we seen last week also fake? They haven’t said how long they were hiding.

Calling it an 8. Too bad things had to end for Ariam the way they did. Very atmospheric.

Glad Spock's totally in the clear.

I liked the episode, but figures that they'd finally give Ariam some character development right before they fucking killed her.

No. The whole episode is about the emotional impact of losing one crew member (who we haven't spent one iota of real time developing prior to this episode), and yet the entire crew ignores Nhan while she could be dying and weeps over Airiam.

And you are just peachy with that?

My most unfavorite episode, by far.

Seems like they were fake. Would explain their characterization compared to S1 (at least for the Andorian).

They're Starfleet admirals. What else is new?

Wait. That's not what you meant...
