Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't warp capable shuttles NOT a thing in this era? I don't know if this has happened in this show before, just something I noticed last week. In any case, just something to keep in mind now I suppose.

They had to be. The shuttle in "The Menagerie" had to catch up to the Enterprise when it was on its way to Talos IV. Plus they have nacelles and had nacelles.

That episode was amazing. Nice use of the Talosian illusion, and Pike really shined. Also we got so much more about the Red Angel, and ok, Airiam is in contact with Section 31 it looks like. This season continues to get better and better, and I even liked Peck as Spock here. Nice sequel to The Cage as well.

My second 10 in two weeks.

I don't understand about Discovery's fugitive status. S31 wanted Spock's information any means necessary. The "Starfleet" branch wants it humanely. They have the information now. I'm sure Starfleet will be happy to get the info regardless. It's been shown that there's a lot of leeway on officers as long as they deliver the goods.

Airiam = Control = Skynet exterminating all life in the future.

Talos IV is a Doctor Who planet!!! The quarry hosts our quarry!

So Mirror-G boasts genocide of her universe's Talosians and their singing plants. Oh dear...

Poor Paul. That man's heart is breaking all over again. I'd think twice before plugging him into the Spore Drive right now.

Airiam is in contact with Section 31 it looks like.
I don't think that's it. So much as she's working "for" Control.

I think the quick take here - so far - is that the future AI "sentinels" (for lack of a better term) DLed their protocols into Ariam - they haven't really said what she is, but suffice it to say she's probably some form of pre-Soong human super-intelligence capable of processing data (ahem) as thought.

Anyway, she's got the future evil AI subconsciously controlling her actions and that AI is most likely a more advanced version of Control.

I like where they're going with Culber. Incidentally, Pike was right about the altercation between Tyler and Culber, and he was right about Saru. He said everything I was thinking.

Everything connected to Talos IV is still top-notch so far.

Ok, I'm reading things about computers and controls and did I miss that in this episode I just watched?
During the briefing with the Admirals, they talked about Control's Threat Analysis algorithms or something, and afterwards Georgiou says that in her universe AI serves humans, not the other way around.
