Star Trek Continues, Episode 4...

No, there's a difference. The originals were distinctly larger.

Forgive the countdown, but with three weeks to go STC is over 98 percent to their Kickstarter target. Then it will be interesting to see if they go further and by how much in he remaining twenty-one days.

I guess at the time they built the bridge it was strictly for Starship Farragut, so they weren't trying to pass it off as the Enterprise.

But anyway, I grew up mostly with Star Trek off the air in my locality, so I couldn't study it much as a kid. At least Farragut did a better job than the Colorforms!

Quick n dirty extraction of proportions using perspective drawing techniques. Using the same station points (screen centers and corners) I projected lines on diagonals to see where they end up: and they're really different.

Again, it's just a nit on an otherwise fine set. It just never looks right to me.

Oh it really bugs me too. The rest of the set is great.

I noticed both the chair wrinkles and the overhead viewers, but I can't say that either one bothered me.

I noticed the wrinkles in the paper in the overhead viewers in a few of the original TOS episodes, to the extent that I thought they were basically star charts and not actual viewers. I guess the computer can pull up images on the screens such as viewing different areas of the ship or pull up history tapes, but mostly they're just static images.

Indeed, the top monitors are pretty "off". And on that subject, the displays on the lower monitors seems to be totally different to the TOS displays. And the Red Alert indicator on the main console is much too high. And they don´t seem to have the grill in front of the lights at the door... Ahhh, nitpicking is fun...

STC is apparently releasing a quarterly newsletter called "Subspace Chatter". I thought this was another promo spoof or mash up, but apparently this is real. Hopefully there will be new updates not found on their FB page or website. It looks like this edition might include some new Ep4 pics.

Eta:

This links from the STC website blog area. It looks like they wiped their previous entries and this will be the primary blog.

I get the Subspace Chatter updates and, yes, some of those pics look like they could well be from Ep. 4. McKenna's hair is different, Kirk is wearing the green wrap-around (not seen in TOS's third season) and Chuck Huber is posing as McCoy.

Appears that someone or something is misbehaving on the bridge with all the phaser poses.

New video update has been posted on the KS page. Nothing special as far as action.

ah, relieved.

Anyway, I was hoping that the new video was something that moved the APOTA storyline along. At least it didn't come across as "Hey, we're struggling here.. please help us out.". lol
