"Beyond" still feels like a word is missing. When I hear the title, I instinctively think "beyond what?". Having said that, I really like that the story will involve exploration.
It's a lot better than "Into Darkness." I mean, that title didn't even make sense and sounded just like throwing in the buzzword "dark" to make it edgy and cool. I guess in retrospect that does sum up the movie though.
Beyond sounds like it could apply if they are indeed going beyond known space. I think it's kind of intriguing.
I don't know. If "beyond" is intriguing, I don't know why "into darkness" wasn't. It implied the possibility of bad times ahead. And they were. In other words, "into darkness" was far more evocative than "beyond" is.
The title is actualy Star Trek Be-Yond, and is about the Enterprise crew finding a android called Be-yond on a alien planet, who turns out to be Data's big android brother, and the hilarity that ensues from him joining the crew.
Could have been worse, they were going to have it be data's andriod sister, called Be-yond-ci. (groan)

No, no, Haggis! Come, sit down here, I think we can save this!
Ok, so we got the whole Data's Brother thing, and we can really throw a plot zinger, using your "Be-yond" play. Here's what we do; we play Data's brother Be-Yond as Brent Spiner's Night Court character, who would have certainly said something like "Ah thank I'll jess go over
t' yond-er Enterprise and scan me sum lahf forms."
Um...
Nah...
Haggis, can you grab my coat while you are in there?
