Spoilers STAR TREK BEYOND

Let's face it,
Idris Elba's face
will bring people to the theater.
I agree, this will benefit the movie. It reveals the plot is more interesting than just fighting a generic alien bad guy.

Terminator Genisys would not have been helped if that spoiler was kept out of trailers. John Connor had been played by what, 5 or 6 different actors? who cared if the new one with no personality or emotional connection to the audience was revealed to be a bad guy? He was a thinly defined character after all these years of recasting.

Well, I'm not looking atanything except the aggregate Rotten Tomoatoes and MC scores.

And the session times!

There's no reason to look at TV spots or shorts or even read anything anymore.

I started reading a favourable review which have away a tidbit of spoiler and I stopped.

Trekmovie even has an article saying STAY AWAY FROM BE READY PROMO.

It is a spoiler I learnt whilst reading a review a few days ago.

How could he have been part of the Xindi war? Am I misremembering that the Enterprise was the only ship sent?
Maybe
there was another war involving the XIndi?

Damn, that review is pretty disheartening.

I think writing off any bad review as "just another JJ hater!", is ignorant and unfair.
No, read what I wrote. I have specific reasons for thinking that reviewer went in with an agenda.

I think I am going to avoid spoilers. I already know more than I ever have about a ST movie beforehand. I will not be able to see probably until next week (work, unfortunately takes priority. It's the logical thing to do.....dammit :vulcan::klingon:)

All I have to say is fuck fucking Faebook and autoplay! I had the audio muted, but what I saw can't be unseen. My imagination will by hyperactive until I see it on Friday.

As I pointed out in the Collider thread, 100% of the reviews will not be positive. Why are you putting so much emphasis on this one when it's vastly outnumbered so far?

The reviewer was a very young girl. I find it interesting that women reviewers tend to bring up completely different points than many male reviewers. Just an observation.
It's almost like they're different people with their own perspective or something. Craziness.

I find it interesting that you cited her young age and gender as a way to subtly dismiss her negative review. There go those silly women thinking for themselves again. Just sayin'. I don't even care whether the review is positive or negative, that's a pretty crappy thing to do.

I read a review that referred to two stupid twists in the film. I'm guessing that this is one of them but I certainly wouldn't call it stupid. Granted it might come across that way in the movie.

There could have been more Xindi raids on Earth or on Earth outposts while Archer and the Enterprise were out of contact in the Expanse.

Simon Pegg, via his twitter page Pegg News, is telling fans to ignore the trailers and tv spots. Too little, too late.

He was a MACO.
What is interesting is that Pegg's Twitter page has a picture which hinted at that. It was posted yesterday, I only saw it a few minutes ago to check out his warning to avoid commercials... He could not be that concerned if he gave a huge hint before that commercial was released.

I am thrilled by all this. I am a huge of fan the source of this and never expected it to get all the references I have learned from spoilers.

Whatever.

Firstly we had been accidentally talking about a different review, her review wasn't even that bad...and it specifically referred to something I noticed women tend to point out that male reviewers and male fans don't complain about as much...say what you want but there are often gender differences to movie reviews.

Yes, I tend to think of anyone around 25 and younger as "kids" these days. So she really is a "girl" to me...not intended as an insult.

After my initial surprise I find that it makes me want to see the movie more. One of the few negative things reviewers are mentioning is Krall is just a generic baddie, when everything else I've heard through trek related news sites suggests he is not.

I get so tired hearing about that kind of thing. I agree, I'd rather not have a movie be made of a check list. I can just hear it now, "Okay so we have five men and four women so we need to stick in another woman somewhere." I can only imagine the quality of a movie that would turn out.
I'ma let you finish, but...

Review from South China Morning Post from Hong Kong.

They liked it and Sulu being gay didn't cause them to have a heart attack.
Film review: Star Trek Beyond – blockbuster that hits all the right spots

About Krall. I don´t know, but I think there's more to it than that. This can be the tip of the iceberg. No more spoiler.
